When I was about… 19, and maybe up to my early 20’s, I preferred for my men to have a swagger that included the baggy jeans, and name brand over sized t-shirts with the classic sneakers. Now that I am approaching my 30’s I am swaying away from that. No longer do I desire to see a man that I am dating in constant baggy saggy jeans with big ass chains around their neck. Especially when I do not even where a lot of jewelry. I need more eye candy for further stimulation brothas. There should be a cut off point in age where an array of Rainbow Brite Air Forces Ones are the only shoes in your closet. What if I want to go out to dinner or somewhere where the attire does not call for the newest Jordans?
Am I alone in this ladies? Am I the only one that is over a 35 year old brotha trying to holla at you with a pair of saggy jeans on and fruity colored Air Force Ones? Before I get attacked, let me say that I am not knocking a man for dressing this way. It is only when it becomes an every day affair that it also becomes played out. Throw some variety in there. Give me that grown man appeal. Entice me with you wearing a nice button up or at least some khakis and a nice pair of casual shoes. It does not even have to be expensive. However, give me some visual stimulation. The same visual stimulation that men expect from women we should receive. Laziness is not going to get you anywhere. It is time that the fellas put in the effort to keep their complete package tight in the same fashion as they expect from us. Ladies, do you agree or disagree?

I want to take this time out to thank a special person to all of us. She came into our lives a season or so ago and every since then she has been representing for all the loud ass ignorant Black women out there. This thanks goes to … Nene Leakes from Real Housewives Of Atlanta. Thank you Ne-Ne for recently assisting in prolonging the stereotype that Black women are loud, aggressive, combative individuals. Thank you for helping to further create the illusion that we are also unable to have a disagreement with someone without resorting to childish name calling, yelling, and other bafoonery. Thank you for refusing to be the bigger person and not responding to Michael Lohan’s a**hole comments, thereby missing the golden opportunity of making him look more like the fool than you. Which could have been easily accomplished by you just smiling and allowing dribble to run out of his mouth. My mother wants to say a special thank you for helping to spread the image of pending coonery and porch monkey antics so far and wide that every Asian in nail shops across America are automatically defensive towards Black women before we are even in the door (ofcourse they will still take our money but I digress). Also, thank you for adding the special touch of waiting to perform your very special breed of foolery on The Insider, a program that airs on TV’s around the U.S. Thank you for allowing a little bit of your beauty and ladylike qualities to be taken away with your antics. Thank you NeNe Leakes, for assisting in keeping the stereotype of the angry Black woman alive and well.

Singers Mary J. Blige and Alicia Keys have both decided to push back their album release dates. Once scheduled for a December 1st release, Alicia’s “Element of Freedom” will now make its debut two weeks later on December 15th. Also scheduled for a December 15th release is Mary J. Blige’s “Stronger”, which was originally set to be released on November 24th.
No word yet as to why the albums were pushed back, but many speculate lukewarm responses to both of the singer’s first singles may have been the cause. Mary’s first single, The One, which features rapper Drake, has reportedly only reached #42 on the Hip-Hop and R & B chart and is no where to be seen on the Hot 100 chart. Alicia Key’s first single, Doesn’t Really Matter, has fared a bit better, sitting comfortably in the #61 position on the Hot 100 chart after 4 weeks of release.
Both singers will now reportedly release new singles before their albums arrive. Alicia will go with her much talked about single “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart.” While Mary will go with the Ryan Leslie written and produced ballad, “Said & Done.”
For those keeping score, both Mary and Alicia are known for going Gold in the first week of release. Mary’s last album debuted at #1 with sales of 629,000, while Alicia did even better with first week sales of 742,000.

Gabrielle Union looked especially regal last night as she walked the red carpet at the 2009 Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award Ceremony. Gabrielle can presently be seen in the ABC drama “Flash Forward”, where she plays the character of Zoey, who is the love interest of Demitri Noh. Gabrielle’s interracial relationship on the show is being hailed by many, as it is the first time an African American female and Asian male have been paired together on prime time television. Next up for Gabby is the “Body Politic” which is due to debut in 2010 and “The Van Zandt Shakedown” which is currently still listed in pre-production.
