Someone sent me this promotional pic of Keyshia Cole I hadn’t seen before. I do know this is the pose she strikes on her CD though. She looks fabulous here. I am just loving this look.

She hasn’t had a movie in a minute and all she does as of the last year is party, she needs a job bad. She is very pretty but I’m tired of her seeing at every event, she looks desperate for attention and it’s not a good look for her.

Keyshia looks gorgeous too. I’m glad she’s embracing her feminine side, even though she never really seem tomboy-ish to me anyway.
Beyonce looks nice with the black hair color but I think her natural color is medium brown. Oh well it’s a change from the cheap blond.
Ashanti is looking upgraded everyday, and it’s time for Tyra to upgrade her hairstyle and color.

what i find funny is that people are saying that they r soooo glad bey changed her hair color becuz they were sick of it or she playing it out…..yet people like alicia keys hav nevered changed their color…what i think it is is that when a lightskin woman wears lightcolor hair its a problem. oh she’s trying to look white or she look fake. everyone knows that blonde hair looks great on bey, it made her stand out and look very exotic,y do u think everyone copied. i even hear girls at the hair store saying “i want the beyonce hair colors.” bey started a trend sadly everyone can’t rock it like her thats y all the haters wanted her to change it so bad becuz they think that if she darkens her hair she won’t get so much attention. but bey could die her hair green and she will still b the most beautiful and most talented ***** out right now…so catch ur breath and stop hatin..it ain’t good 4 ya health

After observing Beyonce fans all these years on various sites I have come to realize that the majority of her fans are light skin Black women who have been told all their life that they are pretty because of their skin color and just as Mariah’s biracial fans saw her as a representative for them, so do Beyonce fans who generally look just like her. These women have been taught to feel superior to Black and brown skin girls and that is why they always bring up skin color when talking about her. They be the first ones to remind you what shade of Black Beyonce is as if to put everyone in their place. As if Beyonce is beyond reproach based on her skin shade. Make no mistake about it, Beyonce is seen to many Blacks as a representative of superior Blackness, mixed looking and creole. She is essentially a tool of White supremacy. Put on a pedestal to remind those who don’t look White that they are inferior and women like the girl above who made those statements have fallen for the bait hook line and sinker. She is indeed full of insecurity and self hate. To attack Beyonce in her mind is to attack her. Yet I bet she has a very dark skin man, someone who never forgets to tell her everyday how superior she is to HIM and all darker skin women. Damn. How does she feel to be so insecure you must be fed a constant diet of lies to feel good about yourself? What type of woman is so proud of another woman’s blond wig she will write such hatred on a site? One like the fool who wrote the above post I guess.

They all look beautiful. Beyonce, Gabby, Ashanti, Keyshia and Tyra. Stop complaining about Bey’s hair. It looks good whether it’s black or blonde. She played the marketing game because she is a business woman. As black women, we need to stop perpetuating hate within our community and STOP making things light vs. dark. Once we start looking at ourselves as beautiful, we can walk with confidence no matter what shade our skin color is, and that alone will make us beautiful and sexy to the outside world. Look at all of the black women that claimed their beauty instead conforming to “white standards”. Queen Latifah is a prime example. She claimed her full figure and walked with pride. The media loves her. She is a trailblazer. I am positive that this trend will continue. Before we start trashing Beyonce, maybe we should aknowledge the positive change in her. Maybe she realized that she was insecure and decided to go for a more natural look. All shades of BLACK are beautiful. Women, we need to stop being so angry. We have a reason to be angry, but the attitude and the negativity is not helping us. Attitude alone can make us unattractive. People can sense our insecurity. We are just too cute for that ;-) OK?
