Preview 2nd ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 2 Trailer

Along with another preview, Fox has released the official cast photo for season two of their break-out supernatural drama “Sleepy Hollow.”

As previously reported, Lyndie Greenwood (Jenny Mills) and John Noble (Henry Parrish/Jeremy/War) have been upgraded to cast regulars, joining Nicole Beharie (Abbie Millis), Tom Mison (Ichabod Crane), Orlando Jones (Captain Frank Irving) and Katia Winter (Katrina Crane).

“Sleepy Hollow” has been MIA since January, and is finally set to return to the airwaves on September 22nd.

The cast and crew have begun a promotional blitz that will culminate with their appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic Con (July 25th).

Check out the latest promo clip (which I love even more than the first one) below, as well as a few photos I have added from Nicole’s 2013 Esquire photo shoot.

Updated with more Season 2 promo pics love.

I give you Ichabbie, in all their glory.

Update #2: Full cast promo shots.

  1. I love that Irving and Jenny are getting shine as well as Peter Bishop’s daddy (re: “Fringe” character). I love this show. I wish I could go to Comic-Con. One of these days… sigh. Thanks for the post!

  2. I still believe black-on-black racism is why Nicole Beharie is not a bigger star among her own people. She has a lead role in one of last season’s hottest new shows and she has a rabid fandom community behind her, yet one visit to black sites/blogs show no trace of her name ever. I recently visited a number of black sites aimed at black women and I did a search for Nicole’s name and Kim Kardashian’s name. Guess what? Nicole had either never been written about or had been written about significantly less than Kim. I did the same with Khloe and Miley Cyrus with the exact same results. Sites run by black women and supposedly for black women write more about white women they do the women they claim to serve. Yet I know that if Nicole were a few shades lighter she would get way more love. She also got more love via black sites when she was dating Michael Fassbender (a white man) and when sites like TMZ report nasty articles on her like the one claiming she didn’t pay for a dress and bit a stylist. Black blogs come running when there is something f@cked up to cover. So happy to see Brown Sista reports on Nicole and her role on Sleepy Hollow. Sistas are not treated well in the fandom community and in supernatural shows where they are often nonexistent. Black women rallied behind Nicole and now the entire Sleepy Hollow fandom community essentially revolves around her, as does most of the fanfiction.

  3. Dana- I wonder if it’s because she doesn’t have a ‘juicy’ media image which is why you don’t see her in more of the gossip sites?

I notice that black stars that are not cast in ‘typical’ black roles don’t get the same type of media space within the black blogosphere (brown sista is an exception, truth be told this is the only one I really come to).

For example the (2 or 3) black stars from glee. Naya Rivera does get some more press but she is/was dating a rapper I believe.

  4. Lots of celebs are covered on black blogs who aren’t controversy magnets. Zoe Saldana and Lala Anthony get mad play on blogs and neither are known for being involved in drama.
Urban blogs are crazy obsessed with white women. Just look at their latest obsession Iggy Azlea. Iggy has gotten more play on black women’s blogs in the past month than Nicole has gotten in the past three years.
Urban blogs like to throw white women in black women’s faces. If she twerkin, dating black men or got a fat ass, they want black women at all times to know they are being replaced in the eyes of their men and the world. White women are the new soul singers, rappers, curvy women, the new YOU.
I’ve seen this going down for a while and know the issue is really multi-layered. Even fat Adele was a black blog favorite not long ago. Jill Scott is beautiful and has a great body, but she never got that awe inspiring love that Adele got. Adele. An ugly fat white woman. Ever seen her without makeup? You would not know her.
Black women have to fight for their place to be recognized now in their own damn community. We’ve become the niggers of the black race. Can you imagine?
We are being marginalized out of our own damn communities. White and Latina is the new black woman and we need to wake and learn to support us. Black women have the brain power, know-how and financial strength to do it.
