Pynk magazine recently hosted a Pynk Power Dinner in honor of singer Brandy Norwood.
The surprise event was to honor the Chicago star who was one of the first high profile celebs to agree to grace the cover when it was launched just over three years ago.
Co-founders Mecca Moore and Meeka Claxton shared memories of their first cover shoot with the R&B diva, calling her one of the most gracious and humble celebrities they’d ever had the pleasure of working with.
The trio will reportedly hook up again to work on an upcoming campaign for Cream of Nature, which co-sponsored the event along with Celfie Cosmetics.
Brandy can currently be seen on Broadway in the revival of Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre. Her role as Roxie Hart has been extended until August 2. After that she’s off to start shooting her new BET comedy Zoe Moon, as well as her season two guest starring role on Fox’s mega-hit Empire.
