“R&B Divas: LA” Get Two New Cast Members

“R&B Divas: LA” has two new cast members.

Earlier today TV One announced Chrisette Michele and Leela James as the newest additions to their popular ‘Divas’ franchise.

Chrisette and Leela will be replacing former cast members Dawn Robinson and Kelly Price, who both chose to leave after the first season.

Remaining cast mebers: Michel’le, Chante Moore, Lil Mo and Claudette Ortiz are all expected to come back for season two and are scheduled to start principle shooting for the upcoming season in January.

Chrisette has yet to acknowledge her casting. However, Leela, via Facebbok, said she was “excited” to be joining the show and was looking forward to making music with her fellow cast members.

  1. I’m a bit surprised that Chrisette is doing this … I didn’t think she needed a platform like this. I mean she does not do huge numbers but she’s got a viable career. Interesting.

  2. WOW, this is interesting indeed. I’m a fan of both ladies, but I agree with “Love”, I wouldn’t necessarily expect her to jump on this ship seeing as how she has a pretty solid career already.

In addition, this seems like such an odd casting. I’m a HUGE Chante Moore fan, but Chante and Miche’le are a good pair (due to the era that they came from-music wise), but Claudette & Lil Mo (compatitable musically), but all fo them together…..hmmmm, I’m not sure I’m here for this.

Either way, I’ll tune in. They’re all beautiful ladies who have UNDENIABLE REAL singing abilities; so I’ll be there! 🙂
