Regina Hall to Star in Will Packer’s Next Film
Actress Regina Hall, most recently seen in the third iteration of the Barbershop franchise, has been tapped to star in the upcoming Will Packer film, tentatively known only as the Girls Trip project. Packer will produce, while Malcolm D. Lee, best known for writing and directing The Best Man and The Best Man Holiday, will helm the feature.
Black-ish and Barbershop: The Next Cut writers, Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver, have been brought in to the pen the script. Barris by the way, is also penning the script for the upcoming big screen adaptation of the 1970’s sitcom Good Times.
Regina will next appear alongside Morris Chestnut in When the Bough Breaks which debuts on September 16th. Two months later she’ll appear in Almost Christmas alongside Gabrielle Union, Monique and Nicole Ari Parker.
Fans hoping to see Regina now can check out her appearance in the pilot episode of Uncle Buck, which will finally debut next month (June 14) on ABC.
