Rihanna Assists Shakira in Latest Chart Topper

“Can’t Remember to Forget You,” Shakira’s latest collaborative effort featuring pop diva Rihanna, officially had its unveiling earlier today via Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show

The single has been trending on Twitter most of the morning and has reached the top 10 in over 20 countries since its release via iTunes shortly after 9am.

Rihanna recently scored her 13th #1 single with her assist on Eminem’s “Monster.” Should she score her 14th with “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” she will have surpassed Michael Jackson, whom she is now tied with.

Once thought impossible, Rihanna is now fully poised to match Mariah Carey or even surpass her tally of 18 #1 singles, the most for a female artist, and The Beatles 20 #1 singles, the most overall.

Check out the full single below and let us know what you think.

  1. the beat is beautiful. she sounds just like shakira and shakira sounds like her but this is a good song. It should blow through the charts. loves it

  2. Folks is easily impressed. The song is nothing short of garbage. However with two fan bases eagerlywilling to plop down $1.29 to help their fave, I suspect it will do well.

  3. it’s going to be a banner year *crosses fingers* for black female superstars.

    no hate, just love.

  4. I don’t like it. I was expecting something better. Best of luck to them though.

  5. I think their voices mesh well, but it’s just not that great of a single, in my opinion. It’ll be a quicky forgettable hit for Shakira, which is why I think she linked up with Rihanna. Rihanna could sneeze and go top 10.

  6. I love Rihanna she is good in her own way, but why is she close to tying with Michael Jackson when she is not as big of an artist as him, You mean to tell me she has done Thriller type material? and she always has to be on the song with someone for it to count as a number one. What is this world coming to?

  7. @Kiki Rihanna just has as many #1 singles as MJ since they are including her features too. She is nowhere near MJ as a artist just single tally.

  8. I don’t care for this song at all, it has no merit to it. I liked the song that Shakira and Beyoncé did Beautiful Liar, that was a smash but this one here is garbage.

  9. Well, its a good thing “garbage” is what sells nowadays, because the single is doing really well
