Rihanna Crowned Digital Sales Queen

According to Soundscan, since making her debut on the music scene back in 2005, 23-year old pop diva Rihanna has sold an astounding 47 million singles, making her the top selling digital artist of all time

As astounding as this fete might soon, “of all time” essentially means 2001, the year in which Apple introduced iTunes to the world.

Still, Rihanna earned her new crown fair and square, beating out The Black Eyes Peas, Eminem and Lady Gaga, who have all sold in the 42 million range.

    Rih is really the Queen of Singles it seems like- I saw in an interview that’s what she and her team go for when they’re making an album. (Maybe this explains why her albums don’t sell a lot of the bat? People are just waiting to see what’s released?)
