Rihanna Headlines New Tour In 2013

Rihanna is once again about to hit the road. Shortly after winning top honors at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, the 23-year old pop diva announced plans for a world tour set to kick off in Buffalo, New York on March 8, 2013.

The “Diamonds” tour as it has been dubbed, will be in support of the singer’s barely platinum album (as of July 2012 it had sold 964,087 copies) “Talk That Talk,” which has so far spawned five singles, including Rihanna’s 11th #1 “We Found Love.”

As expected, the North American leg of the tour will hit all major cities, including Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia and Atlanta before finally wrapping things up at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Live Nation is promoting the tour and says more dates will soon follow.

In the meantime, pics of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” stage have already hit the internet.

  1. “Diamonds” as a name for a tour should be interesting! Rihanna will bring it as a beautiful and creative chameleon does!

I don’t envy these popstars in the least bit! I can understand Nikki Minaj taking the IDOL gig. Katy Perry is another energizer bunny that keeps on going! Artists like Jill Scott (good essence article btw), Janelle Monae and Melanie Fiona work just as hard without the promotion and revenues, but they’re doing what they love in a very fickle business and that’s what matters most for any of us (to whatever extent we can, we should)!
