According to U.K. Official Charts Company, Rihanna has set a new record. The singer has become the first female solo artist in U.K. chart history to achieve number one singles in five consecutive years. The news came as the pop diva’s “What’s My Name” rose from number two to number one. The last artist to achieve the fete was Elvis Presley, who did so in each year from 1957 to 1963.
Besides having the number one single in the U.K., Rihanna also has the country’s number one album, as well as two other singles (Only Girl In The World and Who’s That Chick) inside of the top ten.
Congrats to Rihanna. She’s breaking/setting records in and outside the U.S.
