Rihanna Wows Fan Jam

Always known as a fashion risk taker, Rihanna wowed the crowd at last night’s Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam, when she stepped out onto the stage in a black and white ensemble created especially for her by the styling duo of Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi. The eye-catching jumpsuit helped keep the crowd fixated on Bajan beauty as she ran through a medley of her hits that included Hard, Wait Your Turn, Disturbia and Russian Roulette.

  1. KEY WORD

    FANS!!!!

I WAS ASLEEP IN MY BED AND THAT HORRID VOICE WOKE ME UP OUT MY SLEEP!!! NO LIE AND NO SHADE!!! IM SERIOUS!!!!…SMH!!!! I WOULD’NT PAY 50 CENT TO SEE HER LIVE!!!

    SHE LOOKS GOOD!!

  2. I think she looked great cause she has a body for an outfit like that. However, I would have done something a bit different with the material or something cause it does look a bit cheap. LOL. The outfit could have just been a bit better though. I thought the performance was decent… a lot better than a lot of her performances but she’s still untalented to me. LMAO. Sorry.

  3. By the way… being that she’s chosen to stick with this blonde look, I think the messy hair is a lot better for it and I like it. =D

  4. Love the outfit, but it’s just something about white shoes that rub me the wrong way.

  5. She’s really rocking that hair color and cut like it’s hot.

  6. She looks good, I guess. That’s all we talk about. What about her singing? Why would a singer be known more for her looks than her songs? Or her voice? I’m not hating. I’m just saying this is getting old.

  7. Out of the popular singers that’s out the one’s that they jam down our throats let’s be realistic none of them are really known for their singing.

  8. LMAO @ chicks hating

Rihanna is doing it up. you cant take it. its okay.
She exuded much stage presence and sounded great. Thanks booboos!

  9. THe hair looks nice!!!! When it is done up and spritzed, it looks fabulous. She has the body of a goddess. Go Rihanna. Keep rocking!!!!!!

Rihanna is seriously doing her thing, she closed the show and is on her way to do greater things She has that “it” factor!

  11. Uh, Nicky you just really proved a point… Rihanna is only really noted for LOOKS! That’s basically what you are showing here. None the less, you see Beyonce at #2? I’m not even a big Beyonce fan, BUT UMMMM, mama does put it down in FORBES MAGAZINE as one of the highest paid in the industry all around. I have yet to see Rihanna in there. So sorry. Fashion Week is what??? And what talent does Fashion Week but up front??? =/

  12. But don’t get me wrong, I agree she looks good in this performance. LMAO. I’m just saying.

  13. TOY

STOP THE FOLLY REALLLY, RI MAKIN A NAME FOR HERSELF AN MONEY STOP PICKIN, RI U DA GIRL U LOOK GOOD GIRL GREAT PERFORMANCE.

  14. LMAO, being that I’m not exactly understanding what you are saying Rose, I know Ri is making money. Obviously. But what does fashion and talent have to do with each other when you are talking raw talent was what I was trying to get across. I actually liked her Pepsi smash concert.

  15. @ Toy

    Reading is fundamental booboo.

Its to show that rihanna is not only doing the thing in the music bizz, but also in the fashion bizz.

Shes been out for 5 years and has become A LIST at 21 years old. MANY CANT ACCOMPLISH THAT.

Beyonce also deserves props but shes been in the game much longer. 10 years longer than Rih. Beyonce has built her empire. Rih is in the process

They both deserve the success booboo!!!! Stop throwing shade.

RIHANNA IS DOING IT BIG AND YOU HATERS CANT TAKE IT. TAKING OVER, taking over!!!

  16. RIHANNA DID GREAT ON THIS PERFORMANCE

VOCALS, OUTFIT AND STAGE PRESENCE WERE GREAT.

  17. @NICKY,
Uhhh, “BOOBOO” yes reading is fundamental, so I’m sure you would be glad to take your own advice.

It doesn’t matter how long someone has been in the industry first and foremost. Artists of the past have opened and broken barriers for artists like Rihanna and Beyonce. So that statement alone is shut down automatically. Black music back then is not the same as it is now. So uh, what are you proving with that. Yes they both do deserve the success because they are what we consider to be the it girls right now. Like ELLA UMBRELLA said, we talking about how she looks… but why isn’t she given credit for how she sounds more so than her style. You have yet to say what raw talent she has. Hell anyone can dress you up and call you the top artist, and if the public eye sees fit and accepts your appearance, then so be it… you will definitely be considered up there with Rihanna and Beyonce. I’ll give props if due. I did say Ri looked fierce and I liked her performance. So how am I throwing shade? Obsessed fans love to confuse “HATE” with an “OPINION.” LMAO. Reading is fundamental! Look those two words up in a dictionary instead of comparing money at fashion week. =/

  18. 4 the record i care for none in the game right bout now.
@Nicky-that essay just proved she is a great MODEL. But i think we can all see she is beautiful, and is “fashionable” 2 most people. The child vocally will neva touch real singers.

  19. PINK’S body suite was better and her performance at the GRAMMY’s was the highlight of the night….sorry RIH-RIH better luck next time!

And my mama used to rock the short leg/long leg look when she cut her jeans I can remember it like It was yesterday summer time of 99′ lol she was killin’ it…..and I used to be like ”naw ma I dont know about that look”

  20. @ TOYA

Booboo, if you want to talk to music, the acheivement speaks for themselves!

She gets paid top dollar to perform. What does that say. She’s a great entertainer and people want to hear her sing booboo.

Millions of albums and singles sold tells you that people want to hear her and her music.

High profile events and shows ie. Grammys, Oprah, Hope for Haiti, Superbowl smash etc want her singing on thier shows. People want to hear and SEE her.

I can go on and on. Sorry booboo!

  21. I’m pretty sure Shakira wore that outfit first and pulled it off better!

  22. HEY Y SOME U HECKLERS ON RI AN HER SINGIN IF BRITNEY CAN LIP SYNCH AN GET PAY Y CANT RI SING AN B PAID. TOO MUCH HATERS OUT ON RI. JEEZ U PEOPLE CRITICIZE EVERY DAM THING AN U AINT PERFECT.RI GIRL THE MORE THEY HATE ON U U MOVE AHEAD Y THEY TAKE 2 STEPS BACK. PEACE

  23. she’s a pop singer who does dance music, you don’t need an ella fitzgerald, or Jhud type of singing for those types of songs. What she has works fine for her craft, and she delivers her songs and hits well. Just leave the girl alone. She surely isn’t the worst in the business.

  24. @Nicky You STILL not saying ANYTHING! Raw Talent? You still bringing up money and looks and that’s all you have to prove your point. Yes she deserves every penny she gets. She works for it. But once again, you are NOT PROVING ANYTHING!

  25. And once again, I’m not picking on Rihanna as saying she’s the worst in the business, she’s far from that. But like Ella Umbrella said, everyone always jumps in on how she looks first rather than saying her performance was good or not. And that’s true.

  26. @ TOY

SHE LOOK GOOD , SHE SOUNDED GREAT, U LIKE A VULTURE TRYIN 2 PICK APART RI FROM EVERY ANGLE LOL. GO SAY UR PRAYERS . PEACE

  27. @Rose
Where am I picking her apart at hun? I DID SAY SHE LOOKED GREAT, AND SOUNDED GREAT ON THIS PERFORMANCE. Obviously you are too lazy to read. Because this is a blog, I’m pretty sure opinions are welcome here. Being that I’m not some kiss ass fan, that makes me a hater? NO. The only thing I’m saying at Nicky is if people are putting her down period for her voice and praising her for looks alone, why put something related to fashion week and how much money she is getting. I agree with WHATEVER saying she has a voice for dance music and performs as so. So ummmm Rose, where am I picking her apart? Read my comments from the start. Other than that, be quiet and stop putting words in my mouth.

  28. I don’t like the body suit. I don’t like the santa claus fur…minus the fur it may have been ok. She has a great body though…..

  29. I am so glad that chief stylist Mariel Haenn is actually designing outfits now. I’m really excited. Vocally, Rihanna is a little different. But her style and delivery has improved a lot since sh started and I think that Rated R is a solid album. Singing live, could improve but we all need to start somewhere. She is doing it big, I didn’t know she gets paid that much to go to fashion shows. Cool. Get that paper!

  30. Out of her whole career, this was her best performance of her career (3 songs) minus the ugly outfit cause the shoes really messed it up and no! she cant pull off everything. Rihanna wears these outfits for attention, most of everyones conversation is not on her actual performance but on what she wears still and that’s bad for being an entertainer. When the only thing you can get out of people is a comment on what you are wearing not good. It looks like to me she is doing a lot of these little shows cause she is needing money cause contray to what people are saying about her album it’s not selling well at all (not one #1 yet) so she has to make up the lost and these little showings add up. They posted Beyonce cause B dont go to these shows and y’all know it, she dont need the money!

  31. I hate rihanna can’t stand her but i dont feel the need to compare her to my girl Whitney houston because i know withney got that, Beyonce fans are so insecure after all the work she put in you still need to down someone to make her look good:?

  32. She was aiight!! Nothing to brag about. Her voice is just Uggh.

  33. Are grown women really on this blog arguin about other people’s accomplishments. I pray that you are holding yourself up like that. Let’s hear about all the wonderful things both of you are doing. Rhianna & Beyonce even though I am not fans of niether they are both holding their own down which is wonderful. But there is no need for strangers who don’t know each other to argue and brag over and about to other people they don’t know.

  34. Hating? LOL Black folks need to broaden their vocabulary.Rhi can’t sing and that is obvious, so if something points that out,it’s not hate, that is stating the obvious…lol I forget that mediocrity likes to celebrate mediocrity…

  35. @BEE

Since when was entertaining the greatest of all. You need to read your word sweetie.. Think about who God’s chosen vessels were.. just think sweetie.

  36. @Nisha what the hell are you talking about. You make absolutely no sense. Maybe that is why you are on this computer arguing with strangers about some other strangers accomplishment. I never mentioned the greates anything of all. WOW!

  37. She stated she wanted to be a role model for young girls…God forgive her..and forgive anyone who is on here that deem this is appropriate for their own daughter…we wonder why men are so disrespectful..in her case disrespectful and abusive….I am praying for my sista’s daily and standing on God promises to know that he will deliver!

  38. Thanks Myshel, I agree with you!! I don’t want my daughters to look up to her at all. She has no respect for herself or her body. I don’t think that being NAKED all the time counts as being fashionable!! I read a few of the post LOL they were very funny but Toy has a point, she is really pretty but other than that she really has no true talent, that’s why she won’t last in the industry!!!

  39. @BEE

What I said does make sense for those of us who have a matured sense of comprehension..And look who is arguing back on the computer with a stranger.. LOL

  40. @BEE
Sorry, but this is a damn BLOG! If you don’t like the comments then why get on her and say something negative in the first place. WHICH MAKES YOU NO DIFFERENT sweetheart! Who care if me and Nicky are strangers arguing. I do believe we are each entitled to our own opinions. We may disagree, BUT WE AREN’T CLAWING EACH OTHERS EYES OUT! Second, if you are going to bring the “stanger” situation to the forefront, then why would a blog update us on celebrities we don’t know PERSONALLY. All comments might as well be blocked. Once again, this is a blog and you are no different.

  41. Please people calm down lol. Rhi-rhi is doing her thang and bee. So let get it together and do what we have to do.

  42. I like Rihanna’s voice. It’s not as great as some, but it’s great for the songs that she sings. I really hope she does get more #1s. In my opinion, “Hard” should have been #1 for awhile. Of course I don’t compare her voice to the great voices of those like Whitney, Mariah, Pink, Christina, Aretha(the Queen), Ms. Patti & others, but I do like all of her songs. Her amazin fashion sense just puts the icing on the cake to me. She may not be as great as some, but she’s great at her craft to me. I liked her songs like “Pon de Replay”, “SOS”, and “Umbrella” long before I thought of her as a fashion diva.
