Rihanna’s Anti Album Cover

Rihanna’s Anti Album Cover Art Revealed

rihanna anti album coverRihanna has unveiled the title to her eighth studio album and surprisingly it isn’t R8. Instead, the 27-year old pop diva shocked fans by naming the album Anti, and unveiling cover art that seems to very much epitomize its name.

Via her Instagram account, Rihanna posted an image containing the definition of the word anti, as well as an un-sourced quote about her partnership with Anti cover artist Roy Nachum.

“In her collaboration with Roy Nachum, Rihanna has changed the history of album art,” the quote reads. “By continuing to follow her own instincts, her work strives to make an impact by doing the very antithesis of what the public expects.”

The Anti album cover was unveiled earlier this evening at an exhibition at the MAMA Gallery in Los Angeles, California. It is reportedly based on Rihanna’s first day of school and show’s a young girl wearing an oversized crown and carrying balloons up against a braille backdrop designed to allow blind people to experience the album via touch.

There is still no official release date for Anti, but I think it’s safe to say the wait is almost over.

  1. These modern artists be trying so hard. Just make good music and they will come. No one cares about your pseudo artistic album cover.

  2. Its very Kanye inspired. With that said, I like it. The crown covering the eyes and the having the words in braille is brilliant. I admire artist that put thought into their album covers, I just hope the music lives up to it.

  3. The artist copied himself. The picture of the child with the crown he has done before. I don’t know why Rihanna would allow him to simply insert her image into an old piece of his work. I hope she didn’t pay him for that mess. 😆

  4. I’m a big fan, but I need some good singles. I’m not optomistic….

  5. She trying to cover up terrible singles that she put out. Then try to go far an artistic art cover, for fans to say ahh. That is not working. The music does not go with the art cover. I’m sorry but who she think she fooling. Only a fool, just to buy in to it.
