The website TMZ is reporting that Rihanna sustained what the police are calling “horrific injuries ” brought on by the beating she endured at the hands of her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown. As in all domestic violence cases, photos were taken of Rihanna and they reportedly show the singer with “major contusions” on both sides of her face- as well as “serious swelling and bruising”. The singer is also shown with a split lip, bloody nose, and bite marks on her arms and fingers. And though Rihanna is said to have refused treatment at the scene of the crime, police reportedly say that the photos alone are “devestating proof of abuse.”

Honestly and I dont mean this in a disrespectful way. But Im starting to believe that Rihanna may have given him an STD like everyone is reporting. I dont think just anything would make CB go off on her like that except for over something like that, I dont codon it but I would understand it. People should stop with the STD, we all saw pictures of them weeks ago in the club together with her cold sore…..he didnt mind then. Why now all of a sudden he goes off on her for giving him a cold sore if he already knew she had one? I think it was something else, I dont think they argued over a cold sore after a Grammy party this is something you would think that they discussed at home before the event.

I am so tired of the speculations/theories/rumors!!!! CB was not in the car chase either, that Kenny(above) mentioned. So…this report is saying she refused medical attention…so did she go to the hospital or not? I also read that she didn’t call the authorities, someone else did, and she didn’t press charges. So much is being said from various sources….I don’t know what to believe. TMZ first said he was being charged with using a deadly weapon, that was false, and has since been retracted.
I wonder if we’ll ever know the truth…probably not.

But if Chris Brown did do it what he should have done was do what Madeo did on “madeo goes to jail” the play and say “don’t you hit that woman, let me get you some mase” or have his sister beat her behind. IF and only IF the reason why he hit her was because of this so called STD. And this is only IF. But I wnat to know the whole story though because ppl are really coming down hard on CB and they don’t even know the whole story or what happend.

My opinion on the STD issue if anything it was considered a HORRIBLE publicity stunt on the CB camp and it will backfire. He needs to seek counseling and lay low He is too young for this kind of behavior.
This will not be a good time to continue with his career. As for Rihanna in the end she will come out like pure gold…why? Because she is the victim in all of this. However, they need to make amends and both move on with their lives.

I read different websites since this story came out but I didn’t see any official report. Where is the witness who called the police? Why didn’t she/he say anything? Any statement from their lawyers?
I mean there’s a video on an another website of the two at a gas station just before the “accident” happens but suddenly there’s no paparazzi anymore when it DID happen and when Chris got arrested there are paparazzis again.
I really don’t know what to think about that but if in time it appears that it was just a publicity stunt: their carreers will be over for sure.
At the same time I think that they have no reasons to do something like that, they have no albums coming out and attending the Grammys would have gained the same amount of publicity.
First of all, if he were so innocent, he would not have left the scene and then later turned himself in to the police. The media and public need to stop speculating what really happened between these two. It is none of our business, but whatever happened, he had absolutely no right to hit and beat her. He should have just walked away. Now this may tarnish his image and possibly ruin his career which is just getting started. Not cool at all.

STD? Are u serious? That happen weeks ago and if that was the case this would have jumped off then. Couples argue all the time and in this case it went way too far and now he’s going to pay for his actions. I know his mother (who suffered from physical abuse) must be very disappointed in him.

I wish them both the best. We will never know what really happened, but since STephanie gave credit to TMZ and reported it on her site, then I know their information is most accurate. Even the police use tapes and information from TMZ for a case with the celebrities. I am really sad though that this happened because it just shows that no one is perfect and we all need help for something.
Some of these responses are so ridicuous. It’s also presumptuos to assume she gave him an std when there are no facts to prove it. Just people jumping to conclusions. Has any one seen his or her medical record?? So we’ll never know for a certainty. No one deserves to be beat like that. The mature thing to do is to walk away. Violence solves nothing. The law says that if a man gets hit by a woman that he has the right to hit her back. But come on now you have to have the mentality to walk away. And he knows how his dad was so why would he want to be the same way? He could have just took a deep breath and walked away. But who knows how long this has been going on maybe he just had enough. A man should never hit a woman and a woman should never hit a man. Period. Violence is bad on both ends. Either person could get hurt or even killed. No one knows what went on between the two, but the two of them. The truth will come out eventually. I just hate to see young people mess up their lives over stupid bullsh*t! No one has the right to hit anyone male or female.However,everyone has the right to defend themselves(except in Delaware). If a woman is getting beat on it is ok for her to hit the man back. So if a woman is hitting a man why can’t he hit her back. Man or woman we are all human. If a woman is woman enough to hit a person then be woman enough to get hit back. We won`t know what really happened until more information comes out. All I`ll say is that, “we don`t know ANY of these celebrities/atheletes we profess to be a fan of”. Most of the time people claim to be shocked or surprised by certain news concerning a celebrity and my question is, “why”? They are human just like we are and they have their weaknesses. We all have our frailities and they are no different. We put them on a pedestal and hold them to such high standards that are really unrealistic.
Just like us they, too, have skeletons. The only difference is that they don`t have a regular 9 to 5 and they`re in the public eye. My philosophy is, don`t put them on such a high pedestal and you won`t get your heart broken lol…..As I stated previously, we don`t know these people. We only know their public persona, which I dare say in most cases, does not give us the true picture. Sure, there are exceptions as there is to any rule, but in general what we see in the public is only a mask.
Now there are some allegations against celebrities that you can see right through and feel pretty confident that they are false; this is where reasoning and common sense takes control. But as a general rule these celebrities are not immune from having their faults. In most cases they get caught up in the “Hollywood Hype” and don`t know who they really are; to them the world becomes a stage and they feel the need to be this bigger than like personality.
You who are regulat posters on this site know that I`m a huge Michael Jackson fan by the way I always end my posts. I`ll always love Michael, the artist/performer, but that`s all I know him as. I`m not naive enough to think that he`s this perfect angel because that would be a false perception. Like so many other celebrities he, too, got caught up in the “Hollywood Hype” and is constantly trying to be this larger than life figure; he`s an enigma with an enormous gift but, like I, only a mortal man.
The Michael Jackson from The “Off The Wall” era is not The Michael Jackson of today. That Michael has long been gone due to The “Hollywood Hype”. Call me a cynic, but you can`t believe the hype. Michael, just like I, has his skeletons and you have to put it in perspective. So, in the final analysis we should stop being shocked/surprised by certain news when it comes to these celebrities because really they are total strangers whom we only know from afar. okay. I’m gonna need people to just really get over themselves. Obviously something very serious set him off. They’ve been together for over a year and there have not been any reports of him being physical with her. But i know for a fact that she has a funky attitude, a real funky one. I saw them at the BET awards and i was standing right infront of them and she had her finger all in his face. I don’t care who she thought she was, but you never put your finger in someone’s face. If he had “anger management” problems he would have flipped out on her a** right then and there. There is NO doubt that he didn’t plant wet, juicy kisses all over those lips. This incident has NOTHING to do w/ a STD, but something happened. Possibly a another man or another woman. Could be some jealousy. Wait a minute, who said she ever hit him. It’s my understanding that he not injured AT All. And like I’ll tell my son when he is older, the ONLY reason to touch a woman is to restrain her from causing harm to you long enough for you to walk out and not look back. But to put her i the hospital…please. I don’t know how some of u were raised but anyone that is physically capable of overpowering a weaponless person should be also able to walk away. Let me educate some of you cause knowledge is power. Any abusive woman can tell you that when it escalates to that point it’s usually NEVER the first time they got hit. It’s the first time it’s escalated and the bruises are visible. He probably hit her before.
You don’t need to file a complaint in order for charges to be brought. That’s why they took the pix. They don’t need her in case she doesn’t want to testify. They have the physical evidence and if you still think they can’t press charges, think again. They convict on circumstantial evidence (without a body) several times. Learn the law people, learn the law.
In an ongoing investigation, they are not going to release the of witnesses so for those who say “where is the person who called” doesn’t matter who they are. They called cause they heard screams. Rhi TOLD the police who did it when they got there. The caller is pretty much irrelevant unless the prosecuter just want to dot the Is and cross the Ts.
Nobody deserves to get hit like that. He’s 6’2″ and he says he know karate. Whatever the argument was, he could of just drove away which he did before the police came. Better yet, he could have dropped her off at the hotel they were staying and went some where else. Remember, they drove past the hotel into this other area. He had time to cool down and chose not to.

Rihanna kind of reminds me of Halle Berry. Remember back in the day and EVEN NOW people made so many excuses for Halle Berry JUST because she’s pretty and look at her now………Couldn’t get a man and a baby until she was in her 40′s. This is not a situation where the fight’s over & everyone goes their separate ways… Chris Brown is facing FELONY charges on verbal threats he made to her possibly while the alleged beating took place, as well as the assult & battery charges. There will be a court hearing, make no mistake about that. Responding officers did take pictures of her injuries on the scene when she initially refused medical attention. Whether those pics will be released to the public as evidence is not clear.
One thing is for sure: we are products of our environment & money does not change that. If one grows up in an abusive environment, whether or not he intends to do the same, that’s the only way he was shown how to keep a woman in check was to beat her into submission. Believing he won’t do the same is not enough: there is deep emotional scarring beneath the surface that has to be dealt with or it will consume & become a part of him.

Uh… hello, who says Chris Brown doesn’t just have an anger problem… or maybe he was on drugs, wouldn’t shock me anymore.
