The ONLY thing I would change in this video is the constant BENDING OVER TO SHOW ALL YA GOODIES. I love ALL the outfits and even the dancing and how they made the video come out. I just wish she would realize she doesn’t have to do the constant bending over just cause. The dancing was old school island dancing and I loved that. Overall, it’s not her best video though. Still think she trys to hard when she doesn’t need to.

C’mon guys, away with the overt criticism of her style of dancing. This song is obviously influenced by the Jamaican dancehall culture and as such, it should come as no surprise that the attire and dance moves that appears in the video are ghetto-fabulous, booty shakin’ whining and grinding. If you know anything about the origins of dancehall music/culture, you’ll know that all this is commonplace in that arena. Now don’t get me wrong, I understand a bit of what you’re all saying because as I’m not a performing artist, I wouldn’t necessarily dance like that publicly myself. However, as a Jamaican, I have a certain level of appreciation and tolerance for dancehall music and the dress-codes and attitudes that comes with it. It’s just for entertainment purposes…I agree that it’s not suitable for all audiences but that’s why we all have a choice as to what we view or listen to.

Hence my point that this material is NOT suitable for all audiences. What is most unfortunate, but true, is that children of today are open to all manner of influences regardless of how much their parents try to protect them from it. It is also true these famous popstars will continue to do whatever THEY and their management deem ‘necessary’ to make more money/fame. As a result, all we can do is channel our energies into building barriers against certain kinds of materials infiltrating young minds…which contrary to popular belief, isn’t as simple as just vetting what they’re watching but ALSO educating them and instilling good morals and values from the start. Just like with anything else that life throws our way…we should learn and also teach our children how to select and reject information from day to day encounters. Much of that starts with the parents’ own attitudes and actions, which most children are likely to adopt. Secondly, Beyonce makes too much dam money, and has too many new grammys to shine to give a crap what Rihanna is doing.
On a side note-Rated R is a severely underrated album (no pun intended)- The singles that have been released so far (Russian Roulette, Hard (blech)and the Wait is Ova ) are the weakest on there.
What I did notice was that these (along with rude boy) are the frivalous party songs. I wish she would release Firebomb or photograph or G4L.

beyonce is doing alot of ground breaking things.. she has won 6 grammys this month making her the only female to win that much in a night, and she has 16 in total… she has had her biggest concert ever in brazil the other day so beyonce is doin a lot of groundbreaking things… so beyonce doesnt have class? why do u say that? beyonce has plently of class, she is not on here makin diss tracks about other female singer altho they all do it to her, and i feel thats real mature and a only a real lady wud forget about the haters and go on about her business, also i feel ur basing ur judgement about her from ur own biased reasons, u obviously dont listen to that type of music and just cuz u dont like it doesnt mean its not not gud.. its not like she is on stage grinding on men, allowing them to feel up on her like some others, beyonce isnt perfect but to imply that she is trashy is beyond the truth

@ Delphine…your comments and words are sooooo on point. I am so sick of what is going on with urban music and music in general. It seems like more and more of these so called artist are more concerned with cultivating their bank accounts than their craft/artistry. I also find it amusing when their fans get in heated debates on which one is actually better…chile please. All of these artist are one and the same.
