Rihanna’s Vogue Interview + Photo Shoot

Rihanna’s Vogue issue hit newsstands today and it is chockfull of beautiful images shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

It also features an interview with journalist Jason Gay conducted mostly backstage at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

You can check out a few excerpts below as well as the entire photo shoot.

Rihanna on the status of her love life: “I have not been on a date in forever. Like two years. Haven’t gone to the movies, to dinner. Zero. Seriously, all I want is a guy to take me out and make me laugh for a good hour and take my ass back home. He doesn’t even have to come up. All I want is a conversation for an hour.”

Rihanna on the infamous photo of her rolling a joint at the Coachella Music Festival and the accusation that she may have done harder drugs: “They knew what it was. They knew it was marijuana. It was completely clear to them. I just thought it was uncalled for. I don’t do cocaine. I don’t like being associated with anything that’s untrue.”

Rihanna on the public’s fascination with her relationship with Chris Brown: “To the world, I feel like there’s no closure. “There’s some obsession that’s continued even throughout when we weren’t friends or couldn’t be friends at all. Hated each other. The world hasn’t let go. They haven’t seen any progress in our friendship, because they don’t see anything, really, besides the song” (Birthday Cake Remix).

Rihanna on why she chose to collaborate musically with Chris Brown again: “I didn’t think it could be anything detrimental to my career. “I was on a tour bus ride between two cities, listening to my album, thinking, Oooh, maybe I should make this into a duet. And I started coming up with a bunch of people, and his name crossed my mind. I thought, We haven’t made a song in so long together . . . it could be a little shocking.”

  1. kinda meh on some of the images, but i still love the cover and she looks great!

  2. The pics are completely dull. Annie Liebovitz has been going down hill for years. I think she just takes pics now to get out of bankruptcy and paying the government.

  3. This girl give and better interview and talk more intelligent than beyonce.

  4. Those pictures are beautiful just cut it out. This is a young woman in her twenties going through most things go through at that time but unfortunately for her she has to experience them out in public. Keep going and keep growing Rhianna I believe God has something in store for you. Just hold on girl.

  5. I love the pics…the black is sheer madness…artistry in motion…I love how she hasn’t come out with a clothing line yet…her editorial just smokes…it’s fierce, she’s fierce!

I read the whole article…it was good…I believe it too, this girl, in spite of everything…she’s having fun…as her manager said to the writer, “what were you doing at 24?”…I was with a diabolical man until I was 28…went to my high school reunion…looking beautiful, broken inside, devastated, with a blast of fun memories, living swell, but, sad about some things and others too as we shared details until daybreak…Rihanna’s mother said she’s a shrewd businesswoman and this is what you need in your 20s to balance some of your choices! I wish this sista much peace, blessings and continued fun!
