Singer/songwriter Keri Hilson recently announced that she will join Keyshia Cole, Bobby Valentino, and The Dream on the “A Different Me” tour, which is due to kick off on May 13th in Cincinatti, Ohio. Now comes word that once Keyshia wraps up that tour she may hit the road later on in the fall with Pop divas Rihanna and Ciara. Reports say both Ciara and Keyshia are in negotiations to join Rihanna on a “Girl Power” tour of sorts. E! News says they have confirmed that Rihanna will be headlining her own North American tour in the fall and wants to be joined by other strong women to send a message of empowerment.
They go on to say that Ciara’s reps haven’t confirmed the news and that Keyshia’s reps flat out denied it.

If this is true, this is a good look. Why are people comparing Keyshia Cole to Rihanna? I don’t get it. These two women do entirely different music altogether..there is no comparison. Now, Ciara and Rihanna have similar styles and both are pop princesses. I’m a little nervous for Ciara, though, it doesn’t seem like this new album is generating enough hype. I think that all these tours sound like they would be good ideas and i would definitely go see them b/c they have multiple ppl i like (except for the Dream. he sounds good in the studio only w/ that voice box) whereas Beyonce costs a lil too much 4 me just to see her and *gag* Flo’Rida. Many moons ago, like back in the 70’s and 80’s, it was very common to have at least 2 strong acts and 1 lesser known act to tour together. I was a kid back then but I remember my older siblings going to see more than one well known band on the same tour like LTD, Confunksion (sp?), Ohio Players, Cameo, New Birth, etc, etc. especially during the summertime.
There is strength in numbers. You youngin’s should consider yourselves blessed.

Last time I checked this country has 50 states! 2ndly the Screamfest tour was with about 8 other artist the MAIN attraction T.I! After reading all your comments about Rihanna on this post and previous ones something occured to me: Rihanna is not as popular in the US as she is in Europe. She already had her own tour here . Besides, out of the three she is the only one who is known by the European MAINSTREAM audience (maybe Ciara and Keyshia are known in the UK since the audience is basically the same as in the US).

Why do black people and artists always have to trash one another? They were all different. They are still very different. All of those ladies have their own distinct styles. They all do different genres. Alicia has the soul vibe, Beyonce is more pop, Missy brought the hip hop, and Tamia has the smooth R&B thing going on. They are all so different, all of their songs and styles gives off different vibes. No comparison there.
But Keyshia, Rihanna, and Ciara, are almost always considered R&B “chicks” due to their newness in the game and their similarities to other artist. But much props to Rihanna, because she really does try and separate herself, and shes done a good job.
Beyonce was the biggest star on that tour, but Alicia, Missy, and Tamia didn’t try and copy her and compete with her. They stayed true to themselves. That wouldn’t happen on a Key Key Rih Rih Ci Ci tour, Keyshia and Ciara would try too hard to compete with Rihanna and copy her and it would be boring.

I was just speaking on the changes Keyshia made with the last album. She tried to head for a more pop sound, and she dressed alot like Rihanna on her shows. I have never thought of her as trying to be like Mary J. I never thought she was trying to be anyone but Keyshia until she put out that last CD.
