The Scottish Sunday Mail is reporting that Janet Jackson has been invited by producers to appear and perform at next months MOBO Awards, during a tribute to Michael Jackson.
“Janet is a music icon in her own right and a previous MOBO presenter,” a spokesman for the awards said. “We loved her past involvement with the show and MOBO will continue to support her music and champion her career.”
The MOBOs (Music of Black Origin) are the UK version of the BET Awards and this year’s show will be held on September 30th and for the first time outside the UK, in the city of Glasgow.
And in other rumor news…
Keyshia Cole is rumored to be in Tyler Perry’s new film, “Why Did I Get Married Too.” Several websites have the singer listed as a cast member and playing the role of “Jada”.

I would love to hear the radio over seas because they seem to really dig real RnB and I bet they have some stuff over there from American artisist that we will never be priviledge to hear in the states. All because two corporations have bought all the radio stations and have determinded that the only thing black people want to hear is crappy music that all sounds the same.

I’m excited to see Keyshia the movie star. I believe that she will have a natural talent for acting unlike more famous people. Anyways Keysh’s acting skills shows in her videos, I think she’ll be fine as long as she doesn’t overact.
It’s funny that she is supposed to play Jada b/c she looks like Jada picket smith to me.
Dunno if I’d be looking forward to seeing her in it but still seeing it anyways.

MOBO confirmed that they have not spoken to Janet Jackson about appearing or performing. I wish people would stop making up stories, because I keep getting so excited and dissappointed. I wish they would let her mourn in peace already. If the media needs a Jackson to tell all, call “Latoya” SMH.
Wouldn’t it be AWESOME to see Janet performing with her brothers singing in the place of Michael?! Singing Shake Your Body Down To The Ground?!!Man!! That would be crazy!! Everybody would pay to see that. But that will never happen because Janet has the same mindset as Michael. I don’t need my brothers! And you know if we didn’t have Janet and all we had was Ciara,Beyonce, or RiRi,they would jump at the opportunity! But hey, it was just one of those “What if” ideas.
Another source said that Janet Jackson will NOT be performing but she will be appearing at the awards show. And as for Keyshia, it should be interesting; I’ve seen the trailer,it looks like a great movie.

Janet would never perform right after her brother’s death. She was the closest to her brother. I can’t see Janet using this opportunity or any other opportunity to take advantage of Michael legacy and popularity to heighten her career. 1. She’s an icon in her own right.2.She has her own money. 3 and most importantly, she was his babysister, the one that he spent the most time with. They had a real connection and friendship.
I just want to say this about Janet. I have the upmost respect for her as a woman and sister. When Michael died(it still hurts), I no longer saw Janet, young Janet, but a mature woman. That stepped up to the plate. She handled herself with class and dignity, and sophistication. She stepped in, took care of the kids, and during the memorial. She was pure sophisticated. She became mama Janet. She nursed the kids, and even Usher. So, I truly believe Janet will do whatever MJ would have wanted her to do, because I’m sure they talked about it. Now, for the rest of the Jacksons, I will remain silent on them.
I must say one final thing. I only have respect for Chris Tucker, Eddie Murphy,because they have not made a point to do any interviews or statements on their friend MJ. That is real love right there. MJ was an extrememly private person, and they have kept their feelings and emotions to themselves, and have not shared any stories, or anecdotes to his life. That’s real. I can see why MJ gravitated towards them. And because Chris had his back. I will respect Chris if he one day decides to open up, but probably respect him more if he just remains silent on his friendship.
But, I do have respect for Kai Chase , calling out MJ as a flirt, that was cute, and I’m pretty sure MJ would have been flattered to know that a woman picked up on his game. lol.
