During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Sanaa, who will be starring in and producing the upcoming indie film ‘All In,’ says she has been preparing for her role by learning to play various poker games, including Texas Hold’em, the most popular variant played at tournaments like the World Series of Poker.
According to Sanaa, she has been visiting various casinos across the country and plans to test her new found skills on her father, director Stan Lathan, who Sanaa says is a poker pro.
Look for ‘All In’ to debut next year at the Black Film Festival before going straight to DVD and pay per view.

I saw her deal and was shocked at how good she was.
Also glad to see her being wise and making her own moves in Hollywood. Were she to wait for the old boy network to create a role like this for her she would be waiting a long time.
I think the problem is that many of these movies are never seen because they debut at festivals or go straight to DVD. Why can’t they hit the theaters like other small independent movies do? Sure Sanaa did a great thing and created an unusual role for a black actress but what good does it do if no one ever sees it?
Shes deserves better than straight to dvd.and just for that I will pick it up.
