Or at least the makers of the Pro Line brand of Black hair care products think she is, as they have bestowed the coveted title of Miss Soft & Beautiful 2007 upon her. Pro Line says the award is given to role models and Sanaa was chosen by an esteemed panel of voters who participated in a recent Sister 2 Sister internet poll. The competition for this title was stiff as Sanaa beat out such luminaries as Queen Latifah, model Tyra Banks, and all around it girl, Beyonce Knowles. “I’m so honored to be named Miss Soft and Beautiful 2007,” Ms. Lathan said. “It is such a delight to be recognized by the women in my community. A huge part of my life intention is to uplift women. This means so much. Thank you.”
In honor of this recognition, Soft & Beautiful will donate a collection of its hair care products to The HerShe Group, Lathan’s favorite women’s charity, along with a cash donation. The HerShe Group is a non-profit organization that empowers girls emancipating from foster care to successfully transition into adulthood.
Soft & Beautiful will recognize other outstanding women throughout the year who, like its brand, are strong, reliable, beautiful, have undeniable style and a healthy and beautiful head of hair.
Soft & Beautiful is designed for women who know that looking and feeling good begins with healthy, beautiful hair.
