Sanaa Lathan to Star in Upcoming Fox Mini-Series

sanaa lathanActress Sanaa Lathan will reunite with writer-director Gina Prince-Bythewood for a special Fox mini-series tentatively titled The Incident.
Sanaa will play a special prosecutor sent to a small town to investigate the shooting of a white teen by an African American police officer. The project is being written, directed and co-produced by Prince-Bythewood, who gave Sanaa her first big break when she cast her alongside Omar Epps in the film Love & Basketball (2000).

Sanaa looks to be pretty busy for a while, as she just wrapped shooting on the independent film Ad Inexplorta, and was recently cast as the lead in the big screen adaptation of Omar Tyree’s Flyy Girl trilogy.

As for The Incident, IMDB lists the film in pre-production status with shooting set to begin next spring on location on Georgia.

  1. I’m calling bullshit already. Considering what’s happening in the real world, I think the officer and victim’s color should be switched. This propaganda is typical of Fox.
