It appears Lil Mama’sLip Gloss anthem is having an affect on not only young women, but cosmetic counters across the country as well. Neither MAC or Loreal will release numbers, but word is both companies have seen a spike in sales since the teenage rapper’s catchy summer anthem was released earlier this year. So my question is, how many ladies here will admit to tossing out their lipstick in favor of lip gloss, all because of this song?
I’ll admit it, I didn’t. Ha Ha.
I will however admit to having a serious lip gloss obsession that got stronger thanks to actress Meagan Good, who is almost never photographed without a tube of the glossy stuff in her hands.

I loved this songe because it reminded me of when I was in hjunior high. Lip gloss is the first thing mothers will allow their daughters to wear. When I was growing up lop gloss was like the first sign that you were becoming a woman :lol2: Obviously things have not changed that much. I still love my gloss and never touch lipstick. I just can’t stand the stuff. LOL at those photos of Meagan. Her lip gloss and cigarettes are like American Express. She never leaves home without them. :lol2:
Stephanie your lip gloss collection is small. I trumped you by about 50 girl and just like Meagan I don’t leave the house without my lip gloss. Mac’s Lip Glass is great but expensive. It lasts a long time though. :thumbsup:

I had 2 loreal lip gloss and the other 3 are nyx. I have to admit i bought the loreal after the song came out. my seventeen year-old neighbor steals my make-up, she is so facinated with the colors and she just recently got away with one of my loreal colors. Im going to make her babysit to pay for that one :smile:
I know how megan feels. I cannot go with my lipgloss because I had dry lips, YUK! Then you gotta keep licking them…feel like LL COOL J :lol:
I’ve been buying alot of Mac lipglass before that song even came out. But I feel ya’ll :lol2:
I myself prefer the Lip gloss over lipstick (Chocolate Cherry)… I have not worn lipstick in years.
I hope the cosmetic companies air the girl’s song in their commercials so she can get paid.

I have to hide all my lip gloss, perfume and lotion from my daughter too. She’s 11 and wants ALL my stuff! LOL
