Singer/songwriter Keris Hilson, during an interview with Atlanta radio station 95.5, cleared up any speculation that the remix to her hit single Turnin’ Me On, had anything to do with singers Beyonce and Ciara. Keri, who has a new album, In A Perfect World, about to be released later this month, said the diss record was the idea of producer Palow da Don (aka King of the White Girls)- but declared it was not aimed at any specific singer. Many had speculated the whole diss record was nothing more than a publicity stunt aimed at getting Keri a bit more attention and now we know that to be so.
Palow is the King of Stunts and has admitted in the past to leaking songs from artists he was working with- including Usher and Mya. Sadly for Keri, listening to Palow will more than likely backfire on her. Yes she may have gotten a boat load of publicity because of this stunt, but the majority of it was negative, which is why she basically had to go on the radio and pull a Michael Steele.
Note to Keri- hard work and honing one’s craft is what leads to success, not childish stunts thought up by d-list producers.
And another note to Keri. While Palow was talking you into pulling this childish stunt, you should have asked him why he didn’t have all those white female artists ( Fergie, Nicole Scherzinger, Nelly Fertado) he worked with do the same?
He didn’t force Fergie, Nicole or Nelly to underhandedly go after other white pop singers, so why was he willing to have you pretend to go after your R n’ B sistas?

I am sooooo disappointed in her for taking this route. I was planning on supporting her but seeing as though she doesn’t have a mind of her own- going around listening to someone who calls himself “King of the White Girls” and disrespecting two beautiful sistas with all the name calling…. just so unprofessional and unlady-like. *smh* I can’t even see it.

Keri wasn’t right to put anyone on blast. Ciara and Beyonce have sold millions, had number one singles and albums, and sold out world tours..etc. Only thing Keri has done, is getting her album pushed back several times, and releasing singles that didn’t do anything. You made a real good point comparing our responses to Keri and to Chris. But I have to say, I never took up for Chris, and I didn’t side with Rihanna either. I was not their, no one but them was in the car. And NO ONE has said what REALLY happened. Only guessing and speculation. If Chris hit Rihanna because she was mouthy, then his a$$$ needs to spend some time under a jail, but if he hit her because she was beating him up first, self defense, all I gots to say on that.
But for this Keri chick, I see all her mess, and it stinks. She thought she was doing something buy calling those ladies out, trying to get all she can out of this tired song of hers.
