‘Single Ladies’ Finds a New Suitor

Well that was quick.

After being unceremoniously canceled by VH1 last month, Queen’s Latifah’s “Flavor Unit” produced dramedy “Single Ladies” has found a new home on the BET owned Centric network.

A fourth season is set to debut sometime next year; however, whether the show’s current stars, LisaRaye McCoy, Denise Vasi and Charity Shea, return is apparently still up in the air.

Under Flavor Unit’s deal with BET, Queen Latifah’s syndicated talk show, which premiered last year to pretty solid reviews and ratings, will also air new episodes in primetime.

For those of you still not in the know, BET is aiming to rebrand Centric as the first network aimed exclusively at African American females.

Along with “Single Ladies,” rumor has it the network is also looking to add Kelly Rowland’s “What Would Dylan Do?” comedy to their roster.

Kelly shot a pilot for the show back in 2012. However, for reasons unknown, it was temporarily scrapped.

  1. I like the show I just think they should get replace Lisa Raye and Carity Sea. Kept La Toya Luckett and Denise Vasi.

  2. I hope they do a better job at developing the characters. I could not relate to any of the women. They seemed materialistic, recklessly horny, delusional, encompassed a false sense of power that depended heavily on being…”fab”, and just plain corny as hell. And most disappointingly they lack any understanding for “the game”. They got played left and right and then blamed the guy. That’s just my observation from two or three episodes.
