Where has Sanaa Lathan been hiding these days? The former Cleveland Show actress hasn’t been seen much since her last TV venture, the Starz drama Boss, was canceled last year.
Sanaa had previously been rumored to make an appearance on another Staz show, last year’s break-out Power, but those rumors turned out to be false.
So what has Sanaa been up to lately? Well, a quick glance at her IMDB page shows her name attached to several independent films, including The Perfect Guy which co-stars Michael Ealy as a sexy IT expert who turns out to have a very dark side.
All Sanaa’s projects are listed as being in pre-production, which gives her plenty of time to do what she’s doing below: attending charity events in Hollywood.
Earlier this week Sanaa was spotted walking the red carpet at the 17th Annual CAST From Slavery to Freedom Gala in Los Angeles, a not-for-profit advocacy project that seeks to end the forced trafficking of human labor and modern slavery.
Sanaa called the cause “close to her heart,” and said more people would be appalled if they knew the extent of the problem.

In other Sanaa news, the 42-year old actress, who keeps a killer Pinterest account, recently revealed plans to launch her own line of loungewear. Calling herself a homebody, Sanaa says she likes to be comfortable while lounging around her home, but also ready to entertain at the drop of a hat.
“I love things I can sit around my home in, but also entertain guests who stop by unexspectedly. I hate the idea of having to change and make myself decent. I’m an all-in-one kinda girl,” she recently told WWD.
No word when the line will arrive, but Sanaa did say she plans to sell her wears online and possibly HSN.
