What does the ultimate Diva do after she has conquered the world of movies and music? Well according to WWD, she sets her sites on the world of celebrity fragrances. That’s right- Beyonce and her alter ego Sasha Fierce have signed on with Coty Inc. to produce the singer’s own signature scent. Beyonce’s fragrance will be sold in department stores globally. However, it will first be launched in the Americas during the Spring of 2010 and then around the world in the fall of 2010.
Coty Inc. kicked off the celebrity fragrance craze back in 2002 with Jennifer Lopez and has since added Faith Hill, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwen Stefani, Kimora Lee Simmons, and most recently, Halle Berry, to their stable of stars. To those wondering what Beyonce’s payday will look like in comparison to those of other celebrities who signed with Coty, well insiders say her payday could be more substantial depending on the length of her contract. Some put the numbers as high as 5 million a year or 20 million over the course of 3 years. Beyonce’s stature and the fact that other fragrance companies have tried to woo her and failed, are said to play a role in how the singer will be paid.
Not everyone agrees though. Sources cite the fact that the 2 other fragrances the singer has fronted never took off, as well as the depressed fragrance market, as reasons why the singer will at best be paid no more than 10 million over the course of 3 years.
Coty Inc. however has said nothing about the deal, stating only that “Beyonce is a role model for women of all ages and a great fit for our company”.
Oh please, yeah right.

Conquered the world of movies? I think not, she may be the queen in the music world but she has a long, long, way to go in the movie industry. I personally don’t take Beyonce serious as an actress, he acting is boring and average at best, but she’s a good performer.

On topic: Go Beyonce, go! I am so proud of this woman. Hate her or love her, she works extremely hard and deserves the success she has. I see her star continuing to rise despite what the naysayers and detractors have to say about it.

True Star was Tommy Hilfiger’s fragrance she was just the face of it. But if it smells good ill get it for my girl if she dont like it; it stays right on the shelf. Everybody can’t and WON’t be pleased some people won’t get it just because its the fact that its her fragrance no matter if it smells great or not sometimes you can’t win for losin.

Everything can’t be for sale. And as far as you know how do you know he has not gotten any offers. The world is bigger than urban and outside of the so called “urban setting” they appreciate our true artisist a heck of a lot more than we do.
So maybe some people understand that if everytime they turn the tv or see you in a magazine they will begin to grow tired of you. You become a bore and they are looking for the next hot thing. Develop your craft and you will have longevitity.

2nd How does one define conquering music? Her songs are forgettable and her 1st album was where she was at her best. I mean i like the songs from Miss Sasha but i truly don’t see her being around in 15 years but that booty-popping and no-clothes wearing. Give me a ballad and i will support her more.
