  1. Love the look of the video and the fashions. The song is lighthearted and carefree and sounds kind of 80s-ish to me. Her dancing was awkward looking but I think that was the point LOL Gorgeous lady. Beautiful people. Fly clothes. Cool video.

  2. I loved it. Its different but good. She stepped outside the box. If I didnt know who she was and someone told me that she was tracy ellis ross sister I would believe it.good job solange. Gimmie more.

  3. This is the best Solange music video in my opinion!!! It’s near perfection and is perfection…the sound mixing effect was more surround sound, but other than that I really think she did a GREAT JOB!

Her personality shined through…a good song…it wasn’t like she was trying, it was so effortless and beautiful! Love the clothes and vibe!

  4. I LOVE IT!!! SHE IS SO DAMN CREATIVE!! REFRESHING CHANGE!! THEM BLACK FOLKS IN THE VIDEO ARE BEAUTIFUL!! THANK YOU GOD FOR US!! “LOSING YOU” ROCK!!!

  5. It might be the stan in me, but that felt like some 80’s Janet Jackson ‘Control’ type stuff. AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I love the fact that she is an individual and not really chasing trends when it comes to her music. I also LOVE her use of fabrics and colors. I SEE YOU SOLANGE GURL!!! Do yo thang.

  6. okay, tell me if i’m the only one who got a light hearted version of “got til it’s gone” by janet jackson vibe for the video? i actually have no issues with the song. and yes solange does look like she could be tracy ellis ross’ sister. if they ever needed someone to play her “back in the day” or a younger sister in a movie…she’d look the part. i actually liked the song and the video. it was nice with all the black people. made me feel confortable. anywho, nice find, Sista.

  7. oh and i gotta say the dancing cracked me up. i think that was the point, to look silly.

Me too! I thought the exact same thing about it being reminiscent of Janet’s “Got till it’s gone.” She also jacked an old school Janet “Control”/”Nasty Boys” dance move @ one point. The vid was great, but no where near original. It just stands out today because artists are no longer doing this type of video/music.
