Solange Knowles has finally found something to do with her spare time besides riding the coattails of her famous sister. MTV announced today that the wannabe singer, songwriter, producer, will guest host several episodes of MTV’s Total Requset Live while the station looks to find a permanent replacement for Vanessa Manillo who is leaving the once top rated show. The hosting gig is only a temporary thing as a rep for Solange said the singer is too busy working on a new album to take on a full time VJ-ing position with the station. Yayyy! New music from Solange. I can’t wait.
Solange will always be in Beyonce’s shadow. She isn’t as pretty. She is skinny and funny shaped and she can’t blow like her sister. She just needs to get a real job and leave the entertainment to her big sis. :thumbsup:
:noway: Oh goodness, no, no, no please let’s not allow Solange to get in front of a camera. That girl’s name and face irritates me to no end. If she was truly talented, I wouldn’t mind seeing more of her. But because her family insists she is a model, fashion designer, actress and vocal singer, when she is not, I can’t help but to be annoyed.
Did they force poor Kelly to put Solange’s lousy songs on her album this time?
Have you all noticed that when a family consists of a group of all girl sibblings there is always an ugly one with a jacked up nose? I have seen this several times. Remember Sister Sledge? They were all cute excapt one with the Cher (pre-surgery) looking nose. Same with Toni Braxton and her sisters. They are all cute except one who again had the funny shaped nose. Now we see the same scenario and Beyonce and Solange. It’s a very weird genetic thing.

regardless of what solange does you people will never give her the benefit of any doubt what so ever! i mean its hard for many artist these days to do what beyonce is doin on that level..so to expect solange to “out do” a star on the level of beyonce is useless! solange has tried to do her own thing..from a cd to actin so the girl is trying to make a name for her self it seems! i say give the chic a break! Jalyn, I have to disagree with you Solonge (in my opinion) has a better voice than Beyonce. Bey’s voice my be stronger but Solonge has a beautiful one. She sings the song for the Proud Family cartoon and I also heard her on another track. If she got a good break or a good calabo, I think others would appreciate her voice. :smile:

I think it’s great that she is finally doing something… People act like Beyonce is the second coming of Jesus or something, honestly without all the makeup B and Solange favor a hell of alot. As long as she is doing something positive I have nothing negative to say.
Solange has no talent at all and Papa Knowles has just been trying to find a way to get her in the business because Bee in in the business. Solange doesn’t wanna just get a 9 to 5 she needs to try and prove that she is just as talented as Bee even though she is not. What Solange is, is a fast lil girl got herself knocked up at 18 and then had a quickie fake marriage arranged by her parents so as not to make the family look bad.Solange and her buttaface just needs to go sit down somewhere and stop forcing up to look at her no talented behind :hmph:
