Solange Debuts Videos for ‘Don’t Touch My Hair’ and ‘Cranes in the Sky’
Solange has debuted two videos from her critically acclaimed new album Seat at the Table. According to early industry estimates, the project could become the singer’s first number album if it manages to outsell Bon Iver’s new opus 22, A Million.
As it stands right now, Bon Iver is predicted to sell about 53 thousand physical copies of his album, while Solange is predicted to sell around 38 thousand. Add in streams, however, and Solange starts to close the gap, but not by much. If she actually gets out there and gives a few performances, she might actually walk away with the win. Seat at the Table is a solid album, but still needs traditional promo.
As for the videos, both Don’t Touch My Hair and Cranes in the Sky are visually interesting and very much in keeping with the vibe of the album. Both are also reportedly helmed by Solange’s husband, director Alan Ferguson.
