I gave it a fair chance, and I understand it’s obviously in rough form and unpolished, but I could barely get through that. The beat irritates me a bit (is that a Tambourine someone’s banging against the wall?) and she sounds like she’s straining her voice. Maybe after some sound editing it’ll be better, but right now I’ll have to pass.
Are you all giving Solange’s record a fair chance or are you just writing her off as someone trying to ride their famous siblings coattails?

I like that Solange is being different. I don’t think that the media available was all the great but it did not sound bad. I will support her because she is definitely talented. Don’t knock her. She of course gets slapped down because of the caliber of big sis’ talent.
I think she will hold her own. She is also a good actress and I looking forward to seeing her succeed. I pray that she surpasses all of her visions for this project and excels farther than what her mind can dream for her.
She has an alright voice, but that beat sounds like an old 70’s Diana Ross and the Supremes song.

I too is one of the people that believe no one in beyonce’s clan can succeed either her stardom is too overwhelming ,or something even fishier is going on …i have solange’s “solo star” album and it is the most underrated rnb album of the century she has great lyrics great arrangement and all but…something is going on! “miss kelly” is a fabulous album but then again kelly is receiving so many negatives feedback what is going on
I think it is so much easier to qualify every critiques as hatred but its harder to look into yourself and realize that there is truth in every critiques
