Oscar winning actress and singer, Jennifer Hudson, is reportedly expecting her first child. Sources close to the singer confirmed to Essence Magazine that Jennifer and fiance David Otunga, a Harvard Law graduate and former contestant on “I Love New York 2″, are happy about the pregnancy and plan to wed once Jennifer’s tour with Robin Thicke wraps up in the summer. Neither Jennifer or her representatives have backed up this story but if Essence is reporting it then more than likely it is true. Whatever the case, we congratulate Jennifer and David on the blessed news.

WOW. Why are people so mean? First of all it’s not a rushed marriage. They have been engaged for a while now, more than 9 months ago. So they are not getting married because she got pregnant. yes she is pregnant! I went to her concert last night in Cleveland and she is at least 5months pregnant. She gave a good show but she kept sitting down and her outfit was unusual (a jacket over some sort of ruffle shirt and leather leggings). At the end of the show, I went down to take close up pics and she has a definite stomach. Jennifer has slimmed down a lot and her stomach was poking way out.

I am not judging her because I know no one is perfect, but when you open your mouth and say something that carries a certain responsibility, then you need to live up to it. And I don’t know about what you said about Beyonce being true because no one is above anything in this day and time, but I just think that people need to keep certain things to themselves and then no one will have anything to say except what they are singing and acting about, which is all we really care about. Take Beyonce for example. Earlier today, a fake tape was released of Beyonce allegedly rehearsing for the today show. Even though people have seen Beyonce live…a million times (inauguration, superbowl, tours, Grammys, oscars etc etc), they still believed that it was Beyonce singing and the haters were running around blogs saying that Beyonce can’t sing. Why? jealousy of course. Bey is lighter than the haters, richer, prettier, more talented, happier and the list goes on. Their own insecurities force them to believe these things. Eventhough the creator of the tape has admitted that it was fake, the haters will still talk smack.
If such a tape was released of J Hud allegedly singing, no one will believe it. The truth is some people like J Hud because she is OBESE.
I knew it! I was at the concert in cleveland last night too (Ktothej)! I noticed she kept sitting down on the stairs to sing sometimes and squatting when shaking hands in the front row. I mentioned what I thought to a few people but they didn’t think she was preg. In my eyes her belly looked too round and firm for it to be “fat.” Plus she was pretty slim everywhere else except her stomach area. I’m glad someone saw what I saw. I’m happy for her though! I wish her and her future hubby all the best!

I have been watching TLC and my doctor told me to stop watching that because it was making me nervous. But you only speak the truth in a commical way to me when you post. OMG, Why is this a debate on premarital pregnancy. When hollywoods white women, are pregnant, everyone wants to know what it is, what it will be named, who was at the baby shower, they brag on the maternity clothes. Why are people so mean and critical over this black woman, she’s grown. I didn’t see any of this when half white Halle was pregnant. And I didn’t see any of this when she spoke of her plans to have another. Halle Berry is not married and does not want to be and Jennifer is getting married.
