  1. I remember reading somewhere else about her lingerie line. I’ve always like this woman. She’s very pretty and a good actress! I hate you mentioned her man’s name, ‘coz now that song is in my head: “the T/DR808 is coming…bright and early in the morning”, “My name is D-Nice!” or something! LOL I remember something like that from when I was younger. *sigh* Those were the days of good ole hip hop. :brownsista:

  2. Why don’t I like her  Is that mean? Well any way, I’ll back her up because she is a POSITIVE sista….what the hell…..right :brownsista:

Yes, why don’t you like her?? Just curious. Cuz I think she is fabulous! As far as her style, I mean. Her acting chops are cool too. I liked her on Soul Food. Bring Soul Food back!! Bring Soul Food Back!! Bird, Terri, Damon, Kenny, Max, Lem!! Where yall at???
    🙁

  6. I’m very happy for Melinda. Good Luck in your career…. 😎

  7. Where did you find out about Malinda playing the leading role in First Sunday? I could have sworn it was going to be played by someone else …

  8. I saw the commercial for the movie last night on VH1. good to see her busy. I wish her the best with her lingerie line. I miss soul food too; you couldn’t talk to me on Wednesday night between 10-11pm. I am shamed to say….but I new the song and for some reason in my mind thought they needed help singing it. 😆

  9. I have liked Melinda since The Cosby show and Laurel Avenue mini series (Yeah, holla at cha girl). Yes bring back Soul Food! I just love her hair cut. I will certainly purchase her lingerie, especially after the service I recieved from Victoria’s Secret (they don’t like us).

  10. Oh my gawd if you remember Malinda from the Cosby show you must be as old as I am. She was so funny on that episode 😆

Never watched Laurel Hill or don’t remember it

  11. I loved her in Soul Food! Those short hair cuts with a conservative suit or dress tend to give Black women a real POWERFUL presence  I wish her and D-Nice the very best

Her ex husband (his name escapes my mind) is a HOT MESS

  12. Yeah he is Des. Dissed the hell out of Malinda claiming she didn’t take care of herself after marriage and her hair was jacked up. As we know in pure Black male trash fashion he went on to marry an Asian chick whose hair will be perfect for him all the time. Malinda definitely upgraded though cause D. Nice is ten times better looking.

  13. That’s funny, Cree :lol2: “pure Black male trash fashion” :lol2:

I remember watching divorce court a few years ago (with judge Mabeline) and this Black woman was divorcing her Black husband because he was cheating on her with a White neighbor. The wife was good looking and well dressed and he even confirmed that she was a good mother and wife. So when judge Mabeline asked him why he strayed from such a “good thing” he said he enjoyed pulling the white woman’s hair during sex, running his fingers through it and that it smelled like strawberries 😆

🙁 the sad thing is he wasn’t playing. He was straight up serious 🙁

  14. Yall remember she was on the Cosby show twice? Once as Vanessa’s friend that wouldn’t stop smoking, and then again as Vanessa’s date Elliot’s ex-girlfriend. Oh yes, I AM a Cosby Show connoisseur!!

  15. I didn’t know she did the show twice. I only remember seeing her as Elliott’s bossy girlfriend. I think I saw a re-run of that episode earlier this year and realized it was her. She had more hair and the glasses through me off a bit too, but after watching so many episodes of Soul Food I recognized her voice. Ahhh, the good times. I sure do miss Soul Food. 🙁

  16. Oh I Loved Soul Food so much dont know why it was cancelled. She rocks the hell outta the short hairstyles.
She use to be married to Mekhi Phifer, they also have a 8 yr old son together.

  17. She was in Laurel Avenue which a mini series on HBO ( I think it was directed by Forest Whitaker). I was a little ole thang then but it was a really good movie. It aired only once. Her voice always gave her away.
