Ashanti Guest Stars on A&E’s “Unforgettable”

ASHANTI GUEST STARS ON UNFORGETTABLEAshanti will be returning to television this Friday when she guest stars on the A&E hit drama Unforgettable.

The 35-year old Grammy-winning singer will play the role of Stella, a jazz singer who finds herself unwittingly involved in the underbelly of New York City’s music scene.

A&E just released their first clip of Ashanti’s appearance, which features the singer performing a beautiful rendition of Frank Sinatra’s 1956 classic You Make Me Feel So Young.

Ashanti Shoots ‘Early in the Morning’ Video


Ashanti isn’t letting the low sales of her “Braveheart” album stop her from continuing on with the project’s promotion.

In a move that made fans quite happy, the R&B diva took to Instagram earlier this week to post behind-the-scenes pics from the video shoot for her French Montana assisted single “Early in the Morning.”

Ashanti told fans the visual would be released in October and they should expect a much bigger announcement to accompany it.

Ashanti Lands New Movie Role


According to Shadow & Act, R n’ B singer Ashanti has signed on to star in the film adaptation of the stage musical “Stuck.”

Ashanti will star alongside “Breaking Bad” actor Giancarlo Espisito, as one of six New Yorkers stranded on a stalled New York City subway in the middle of a heatwave.

Michael Berry, who directed the stage play, will also direct the film version, and Ashanti has hinted at adding an original song or two to the score.

Chart Check: Ashanti’s “Braveheart”


After an almost two year delay, Ashanti’s long awaited fifth CD “Braveheart” was finally made available to the public earlier this week.

The project is the first independent release from the singer via her own Written Entertainment label, and features production from L.T Hutton, Mansur Zafr and Sharif Slater.

Ashanti called the project a labor of love via Instagram, where she also thanked fans for making the album #1 on the R&B charts.

Ashanti Not Giving Up On ‘Braveheart’


Ashanti’s reworked “Braveheart” album is reportedly still set to be released.

Though it has been delayed for over two years, Ashanti recently posted promo shots from the album via Instagram, along with the caption “Braveheart 2014.”

After releasing a plethora of singles, many of which failed to chart, Ashanti went back into the studio and informed fans of her plans to rework the entire project.

Unlike previous “Braveheart” singles which featured collaboration with rap artists, Ashanti says future single will most likely feature other R&B artists, most notably, a rumored collaboration between her and Miguel.
