Similar to Britney Spears, Beyonce Knowles reportedly decides to push back new songs from her upcoming album. “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies” were planned to hit the airplay on October 7 but it will not come out until October 14. While Britney reportedly resets her “Womanizer” release schedule due to unfinished material, Beyonce is rumored to have decided to delay her new songs because her former band mate Michelle Williams is reportedly unhappy to drop her “Unexpected” LP on the same release date of the two Beyonce’s tunes. No statement is available from the two singers concerning the gossip.

Joy Bryant, Toccara Jones and singer Beyonce Knowles were just a few of the beautiful Brown Sistas who showed up last night for the 2008 New Yorkers for Children Gala. The annual event was held at one of New York’s hottest spots, Cipriani 42nd Street, and included the usual elements to liven up a party- cocktails, dinner, a celebrity auction, and even live entertainment. NYFC was created ten years ago by Oscar de la Renta and Nicholas Scoppetta to provide transitional assistance for some 17,000 children who reside in the foster care system in New York City. Since it’s inception the charity has raised over ten million dollars and helped thousands of children go to college, as well as network with a “dream team” of professionals to learn about potential career opportunities.

Anyone who has visited this blog for any lenghth of time knows how much I love a great photo shoot. One thing I really look forward to when any female singer comes out with a new album, is what image she will she go with. Artists like Janet Jackson and Madonna were once known for switching up their look with each new release. Few artists today however do that. As a matter of fact, the only female I can think of who drastically switched up their look for the release of her album was Rihanna. Keyshia Cole also comes to mind, the singer eventually opted to leave behind the blonde extentions and instead embrace her own natural dark locks. Well next up is “you know who”.

As previously reported here last week, singer Beyonce is indeed shooting the video for her first single, If I Were A Boy. The certified diva who claims she is so over being a pop star, was spotted down in Harlem on the set of her new video, rocking a police uniform. New York post photographers were on the scene and noted: Beyoncé cops some attitude in Harlem yesterday morning as she films a portion of her new video, “If I Were a Boy.” But even the uniform can’t conceal that a boy she’s not. Toting a taser and handcuffs, the curvy R&B star made the arresting appearance on West 119th Street near Lenox Avenue. Accompanied by her on-screen police partner, the sexy singer descended the steps of a brown stone and climbed into a patrol car.

As many of you well know, Beyonce is hard at work on third solo CD, which has a tentative release date of around November 2008. Rumors spread throughout the net a few weeks ago that the new album title was Virtuoso Intellect, but now even more reliable information about the first single and the video for that first single, has spread throughout the net as well. Recently posted information concerning the casting for a new Beyonce video shows the title of the song to be ‘I’m Just A Boy” with the video shoot scheduled to start on September 11th and wrap up on the 14th. Jake Nava, who helmed Beyonce’s “Beautiful Liar” video with Shakira, has also been tapped to direct this video as well and based on the posted information below, it may have a “Ring The Alarm” type of theme to it.

Condé Nast’s 5th Annual ‘Fashion Rocks’ concert took place last night @ NYC’s Radio City Music Hall. Celebeauties like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Solange, Mariah, Mary J, and much more performed, but the biggest attraction was, of course, the fashion.

According to Billboard magazine singer Beyonce Knowles will be releasing new singles at once, If I Were A Boy and Single Ladies, will both hit radio airwaves in October, with the album to follow on November 18th.
