Actress Joy Bryant and eighties rap superstar Sandra “Pepa” Denton were just two of the celebrity friends who came out for the Heart Of The City after party at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in New York City. In their first public appearance together since getting married last month, both Bey and Jay walked the red carpet for the paparazzi but did so separately. They did however pose together inside of the club with actress Joy Bryant and other club goers.

Brown Sistas from across the Hollywood spectrum turned out in force tonight for the start of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute Gala. This year’s event is being held to celebrate the museum’s latest exhibition: Sperheroes: Fashion and Fantasy.Singers Janet Jackson, Beyonce and Mary J. Blige walked the red carpet alongside actresses like Thandie Newton and Paula Patton and all looked fabulous.

Singer Beyonce made a surprise appearance last night at the Heart Of The City tour with Jay Z and Mary J Blige. The New York City crowd was treated to a 15 second performance of Beyonce bouncing on stage before waving to the crowd and just walking off. It was very diva-ish and even Jay seemed impressed with his wife’s ability to bring the crowd to a crescendo with just the flick of her hips.

Comedienne Ellen DeGeneres debuted her latest American Express commercial on her talk show yesterday and it features none other than our girl, Beyonce. As always Bey is pretty and Ellen is funny. Check it out for yourselves up top.

Singer Beyonce and her supposed new husband, rapper Jay Z, were spotted last night attending the Rockets vs. Suns game at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. As usual, Bey and Jay occupied seats at courtside and Beyonce, thinking she was slick, spent much of the night holding her hand in a very awkward fashion, so as to make sure she was photographed by the press not wearing a wedding ring. Just look at the pic above. Have you ever in your life seen anyone hold their hand in such a weird way? Who holds their hand straight down like that? LOL. Beyonce is such an undercover media whore. She knows the public is waiting for some sort of verification from her that they are married and rather than give it to them flat out, she plays games instead.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z ordered 75 boxes of white-and-cream-colored orchids for their April 4 nuptials at the rapper’s downtown Manhattan apartment, florist Amy Vongpitaka tells Usmagazine.com. “It made the apartment like a heaven, like a palace,” says Vongpitaka, owner of NYC’s Amy’s Orchids. “You walked in, and it was all flowers — everything white and creamy.” In the new issue, Us Weekly reports on the singer’s two dresses, what their first dance song was, the celebrity guests and just how tall the wedding cake was (hint: 5-foot-8!). Vongpitaka says she only had “one week’s notice” that they were tying the knot and that the 750 pounds of flowers arrived three days before they said “I Do!” in front of Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and Beyoncé’s sister, Solange. The couple also ordered many foot-long garlands to drape around the $8 million, 9,000-square-foot apartment. “Beyonce requested the specific look of the bloom,” Vongpitaka says. Singer Beyoncé Knowles and her long-time boyfriend, Jay-Z, have reportedly obtained a marriage license in New York. People magazine reports that the pair took out the license, which is valid for 60 days, on Tuesday morning. When asked to confirm the reports, a representative for Beyoncé said: “No comment.” The couple, who have been dating since 2002, have previously sparked wedding rumors on a number of occasions so this too may just be another rumor. Even People magazine have been known to get their facts screwed up. And please correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t a marriage license the last stage of an actual marriage?

A new track from Beyonce has leaked onto the internet and it is very much in keeping with the new electronic dance sound that she is rumored to be going for with her new album, which is due to be released later on this year. “Beautiful Nightmare” is obviously a teaser track designed to keep Bey’s name out there while she works on her new album, but it is still worth a quick listen.
