Fans looking forward to Brandy’s upcoming BET comedy Zoe Ever After are in luck. The network has made another preview available- one that features the show’s theme song which Brandy wrote and performs herself.
Zoe Ever After is set to debut next month and stars Brandy as Zoe Moon, a newly divorced mom looking to step outside the shadow of her famous ex-husband by starting her own cosmetics company.
Pynk magazine recently hosted a Pynk Power Dinner in honor of singer Brandy Norwood.
The surprise event was to honor the Chicago star who was one of the first high profile celebs to agree to grace the cover when it was launched just over three years ago.
Co-founders Mecca Moore and Meeka Claxton shared memories of their first cover shoot with the R&B diva, calling her one of the most gracious and humble celebrities they’d ever had the pleasure of working with.
The fact that Brandy has landed a starring role in the ABC pilot “This Little Piggy” does not mean she is letting her musical career fall by the wayside. News reports have the singer already back in the studio working on her sixth studio album. Brandy released her most recent CD, Human, back in November of 2008 but as of last week the album had moved less than 500,000 copies. The singer teamed up with longtime producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins on that venture but will switch things up with the next album. Norwegian production duo Stargate has been tapped to work with the singer, as has hit making wonder Ne-Yo.
Musically, R n’ B singer Brandy Norwood has been pretty quiet these last few years. In light of her legal woes stemming from the 2006 accident in which a woman was killed, we pretty much understand why Brandy hasn’t found much time to record new music. Things however may be looking up for the singer as her legal troubles are behind her and new tracks from her as yet untitled album, have slowly but surely made their way onto the internet. The most recent track to be leaked to the net is “Dig This”, a song that will appear on the soundtrack to Tyler Perry’s new movie, “Meet The Browns” . Click here to listen to the new single and look for the soundtrack to hit record store shelves next week and “Meet The Browns” hits theaters across the country on the 21st.
