It has been a very busy week for many of our celebrity sistas and we have got the pics to prove it. From Alicia Keys and Meagan Good to Naomi Campbell, we have singers, actresses and models covered in this week’s picture round up. From gallery updates to candids, this week’s scoop has a little bit of something for everybody. First up is Rihanna who has had an extremely busy week. The sista performed on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday and also found the time to stop by Kanye West’s birthday party, as well as the Cartier Love Bracelet party. A year after Janet Jackson graced the cover of US magazine to talk about her weight loss, the singer is back on the cover again discussing how she has maintained her svelte 120 pound figure. Yes I know that sounds really interesting, but Janet has been talking about her weight for years and honestly it isn’t interesting to me anymore. I love me some Janet but I get it already. What I want is news of a new single, a new album- a new something. The music scene is changing drastically day by day and Janet cannot continue to stand on the sidelines taking cute photos and talking about things she has talked about a million times before. Janet needs to get back in the studio with Jimmy and Terry and come back out with another “Janet” or Rhythm Nation”.

For Robyn Rihanna Fenty, it seems as if it were just the other day when she was strolling about, barefoot, in her family’s backyard in St. Michael, Barbados. But a quick tally of her recent successes—the debut single “Pon De Replay,” the most downloaded song of 2005; her debut gold album, Music of the Sun; the platinum follow-up, A Girl Like Me with the hit “SOS”-reveals that it has actually been two and a half years since Rihanna has enjoyed the easy pace of island life. She hasn’t slowed down since February 2005, when she auditioned for and signed with Def Jam Recordings.

As you all know by now both Kelly Rowland and Beyonce are featured in Vibe’s June issue. Beyonce of course got the cover and a 10 page spread and Kelly got the shaft. No seriously, the good people at Vibe were nice enough to give Kelly a whole 2 pages to discuss herself, Beyonce, her album, Beyonce, and then Beyonce some more. Amazingly enough, Kelly’s name was never mentioned during the course of Beyonce’s interview. Most of you have probably read the interviews by now but high quality images of both of their photo shoots from this issue have not to my knowledge been posted online and so that is where we here at Brown Sista come in. It has been a very hectic week you guys but I have finally found time to not only update the gallery but to also bring you some very exclusive images that you will not see anywhere else- at least until tomorrow- lol. As you all know it has been a very busy week in Hollywood for our celebrity sistas. Rihanna has been guest hosting TRL. Kelly Rowland had her album pushed back yet again, and word is Jermaine Dupri is trying to bring three- ok two, of the biggest names in music together- Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey- and some rapper name Nelly. But to get right into what this post is about, we will start things off with actress Meagan Good. The pic to your upper left is a few months old as I believe it was taken when she stopped by the CW11 Network to promote Stomp The Yard. Still, she looks absolutely gorgeous and remember, you saw these gems here first.

Essence magazine is paying tribute to Mary J. Blige in their June issue by dedicating an unprecedented 10 pages to the singer and releasing two different covers for this collector’s edition of the magazine. Using the movie Mahogany as their inspiration, Essence put together a stunning photo shoot with Mary and her husband Kendu Issacs, who has graced the cover with Mary twice before. Not to be out done, VH-1 has also jumped on the I Love Mary J. bandwagon and will be paying tribute to the singer and soul music in general, during Black Music Month. You will be able to hear from the Queen of Hip-hop Soul herself as she shares the intimate inspirations for her music. The six-part documentary chronicles the evolution and ascent of soul music, taking fans through gospel, Motown, funk and closing with “From Ghetto to Fabulous,” which features Mary’s contributions to the genre.

Singer Janet Jackson has been pretty quiet for most of 2007 but a recently posted message on her official website has many thinking that the singer’s imposed seclusion after the failure of her 20 Y.O album might be over. Janet speaks of her new movie with Tyler Perry, an invite only mini concert at the Atlantis - Phase III opening on May 11th., as well as special performances in London and Cannes. Her boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri, also posted on his My Space page that Janet would have a single on the Rush Hour 3 soundtrack that he is producing.

Actress Meagan Good is gracing this month’s cover of Jewel magazine and touches on many subjects, including the lack of quality films in which she has been in. Meagan swears she wants to move beyond the Girlfriend role, but laments that opportunities for Black women are few and far between in Hollywood. Word is she also talks a bit more about the kissing incident with Jamie Foxx that ended her three year relationship with the oh-so-fine-lookin’-like-Lyfe Jennings, Jerry Manuel.
