Beyonce is the new face for Samantha Thavasa handbags, but don’t let the American name fool you. Samantha Thavasa is a Japanese brand, a very popular one too! You’ve probably heard of it because Nicky Hilton designed some bags and Paris Hilton rocks them.

At this point the store is only in Japan but they will be opening a store in New York soon! The stores are covered in photos of Beyonce, Paris Hilton, Posh Spice and other celebrities posing with their bags or wearing their jewelry. These bags are not cheap, they can range up to a price of a LV or Gucci bag.

The official German “20 Y.O.” Album cover will look a bit different as the official US & UK album cover is much lighter.No official word has come from either Janet or Virgin Records as to why a different cover will be used in Germany.You can see both covers below.

The September issue of Essence Magazine is shaping up to be quite a scorcher.Not only is Beyonce on the cover, but the beautiful and talented Miss Jackson also gets to shine in her own feature story.If all that talent and beauty wasn’t enough, we can now add the lovely Gabrielle Union to the list of Brown Sistas making the Septemeber issue of Essence a must have.Here Gabrielle takes her turn in front of the camera and the pics are nothing short of stunning.

Times have changed for Janet Jackson. She’s 40, she’s dropped about 60 pounds, and the scandals of the past couple years are behind her. Sporting new abs and a fresh outlook, Jackson’s appearance on the cover of Vibe magazine has the world searching for new things to call her. We’ve been calling her Ms. Jackson for years—that’s just how nasty we are.

Vibe’s had its own full-page spread of upheaval and drama lately, including a buyout, an ousted editor-in-chief, and staff layoffs. The revealing cover shot of Ms. Jackson was a smart creative choice for the urban pop culture mag, and they ditched a planned shot of blonde beauty Christina Aguilera to make it happen. Queries on Vibe went glossy this week, up almost 300% thanks to the hot cover.

My girl Janet graces the cover of yet another major magazine.This time Jan is featured on the cover of Pride which is a UK publication aimed at Black women.Though I have seen these pics before, the article is totally new and woth checking out.
