Up and coming dance diva, Ciara, appeared on the Tyra Banks show Friday and after the usual chit chat, Tyra got right down to the nitty gritty and asked Ciara the question that has been on everyone’s mind: Is she dating rapper 50 Cent? And as expected, Ciara blushed like a school girl and then commenced to denying that she and Fiddy were anything but good friends. Ciara says Fiddy appearing in her video and the photo shoots they did together were all business related and nothing more. 2007 is shaping up to be the year of the comeback diva and Mary J. Blige has officially thrown her hat into the ring. Mary’s new CD, Growing Pains, is due to hit record store shelves on November 20th, the same day as Mariah Carey and Foxy Brown. To make things even more interesting, the week before, November 13th, will see Alicia Keys, Britney Spears, and Celine Dion go head to head for the number one position, as their new CD’s will drop on the same day as well. As you all know CD release dates are subject change at any time (just ask Mya), but I don’t think any of the above artists, not even Foxy, will have their release dates moved forward or pushed back.

Singer Keke Wyatt, best known for taking a knife to her husband’s throat, is back with a new album entitled Ghetto Rose and two new interviews guaranteed to get tongues wagging. AHHA first interviewed Keke who took a swipe at not only Beyonce’s vocals skills but looks as well. Keke laments “If you notice, I’m yellow. My natural hair is the color she dyes her hair. I have the little waist with the big booty. It’s all the same thing but I sing better, so it was their loss. Say I don’t sing better than Beyonce?“ Not content with making ridiculous comments to just AHHA, Keke then took her act on the road and decided to share her brainless ideas on race, skin color and the N word with Essence Magazine writer, Kenya Byrd. Singer Keyshia Cole stopped by 106 & Park Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the success of her new single, Let It Go. The Missy Elliott produced track sits at #6 on Billboard’s Hip Hop-R & B chart and is Keyshia’s 5th, top ten single to date. Not content to just make her mark on the soul charts, Keyshia is also holding down the #19 position on Hot 100 chart as well. Other Brown Sistas also making major music moves on the charts this week include, Fantasia who has the #1 single for the 7th. straight week on the R & B charts with, When I See You and Rihanna whose Umbrella single still sits inside the top 10 at #5 on the pop charts.

Actress Malinda Williams, best known for her role as Bird on the Showtime original drama, Soul Food, is rumored to finally be engaged to her longtime boyfriend and former hot 80’s rapper, D-Nice. Malinda and D have been dating since 2005 and D even features Malinda on his personal blog and photography site. No word yet from Malinda’s publicist as to whether the rumors are true or not, but as with any rumor, only time will tell.

It’s official- Tameka Foster and Usher Raymond are now man and wife. According to the Chicago-Sun Times, Usher married Tameka, his stylist and soon to be mother of his child, at his lawyer’s office with plans for a formal ceremony to be announced at a later date. We here at Brown Sista salute the happy couple, especially Tameka who endured months of brutal character assassination by the media and even her own family members. But love prevailed and Tameka ultimately got to walk away with what she wanted all along- her man.

I originally started not to post about this because I found the situation to be rather sad and embarrassing for all involved. However, after viewing footage of Melanie Brown and Nicole Murphy meeting to have lunch at the paparazzi infested Ivy Restaurant, I decided to throw in my two cents after all. First of all, this entire lunch date was an obvious publicity stunt more than likely devised by Melanie’s celebrity scandal chasing lawyer, Gloria Allred. I mean really, if Nicole and Melanie really wanted to sit down and get to know each other and their respective children, wouldn’t a private meeting at one of their homes been a much better place to do such a thing?

Video vixen Karrine Steffans has sat down with Essence magazine to talk about her upcoming book, The Vixen Diaries, and as usual she holds nothing back. Among other things, Karrine touches on her relationship with her mother and why she was able to forgive certain men in her life who may have wronged her but not the woman who gave her life. I found the interview to somewhat interesting, not enough to make me buy the book, but interesting nonetheless.
