Video vixen Karrine Steffans has sat down with Essence magazine to talk about her upcoming book, The Vixen Diaries, and as usual she holds nothing back. Among other things, Karrine touches on her relationship with her mother and why she was able to forgive certain men in her life who may have wronged her but not the woman who gave her life. I found the interview to somewhat interesting, not enough to make me buy the book, but interesting nonetheless.

So you guys remember that sometime ago we discussed Adina Howard and her possible return to the music scene. Well it appears that time is upon us as Adina’s new album, Private Show, is due to hit record store shelves this Tuesday, June 26th. The album boasts production from Black Eye Peas producer Poli Paul and to preview tracks you can check out Adina’s My Space Page . However, with songs like Tease and Phone Sex, I think it is safe to assume that the new Adina is as much a freak as the old one- an observation which I’m sure pleases her die-hard fans.

As another week comes to a close here on Brown Sista, we once again present to you this week’s batch of random images. We will start things off with Bey and Jay who have been having a very PDA week. All these public displays of affection have apparently caught people off guard as folks are acting shocked to see two people who have been dating for five years hug and kiss each other. News Flash: After five years, I think it’s safe to assume that they have done this before. There is no need to become alarmed or call in the National Guard.

Tameka Foster, better known to world as Usher’s fiancé, sat down to talk to Essence Magazine about the innuendo, speculation and out right un truths that are often printed about her and her relationship with the much younger singer. Tameka pulls no punches and answers questions openly about her former husband, where her children are and if she really was the cause of Usher firing his mother as his manager. Five Women whose careers have expirations dates. This was one of the most interesting articles I have read online in a while. As I sat back and attempted to think of five sistas whose careers I thought had expiration dates fast approaching, I realized that I could think of none. Was this a good thing? Are the sistas who presently hold the top spots in acting and music so talented that their careers could possibly be infinite? Well in my mind- yes. However, I realize not everyone feels the way I do, and so naturally this is where you guys, my readers, come into play.

Below are just a few of the sites I visit from time to time, as well as articles that I think are worthy of Black women’s attention. As I browsed the internet today and yesterday I could not help but notice the amount of anguish many sistas seem to be feeling simply because a stranger, Reggie Bush, had chosen to take up with a woman who was not of his ethnicity (Kim Kardashian). Black Female Interracial Marriage is a blog I visit quite often because I believe the owner truly has a love for her sistas and wants to see them happy, content and fulfilled. Sometimes that fulfillment may come from a man who looks like you- but sometimes it wont. Date A White Guy is another blog I visit on occasion, and again, I believe the owner posts a lot of information that Black women need to hear.

Singer Amerie spent the weekend promoting her new album, Because I Love It, in Tokyo Japan. Amerie’s long-awaited third album will be released there this week and was released in the U.K last week. Unlike the U.S, Amerie has quite a following overseas which explains why her albums are always released over there first. American Amerie fans however will have to wait a lil bit longer to get their hands on her new CD as an American release date still has not been set.
