I was trying not to post any information from the upcoming issue of Vibe Vixen that features Janet Jackson on the cover until I at least had the digital copy of the magazine for myself.It seems however that will not be happening so I am finally posting the entire interview here as well as the picture used for the cover shot which you can see to your left.In this interview Janet talks about the usual- Michael’s former nose, her former nose and her obvious love for Jermaine Dupri.She also touches on her relationship with his 9 year old daughter and her own future plans for motherhood.As usual, Janet does not give out too much information thus making this interview as uneventful as the rest she did for the 20 Y.0 album.The only good thing that came from this article was confirmation that Janet would indeed be going on tour later on this year.

Actress Vivica Fox was reportedly arrested last night under the suspision of driving while drunk.After being pulled over by a CHP for exceeding the speed limit, Vivica was given a field sobriety test. She failed the test and was then taken to the Van Nuys Jail.Vivica was once again given two breathalyzer tests which she is believed to have failed also.Vivica did not have to spend the night in a cell though as she was cited by police and released on her own recognizance to the custody of her assistant.She will have to appear in court at a later date, to be determined by the City Attorney’s office within 45 days if they decide to proceed with charging her.

Apparently the pic to your left is a newly released promo shot from Kelly Rowland’s forthcoming album, Miss Kelly.This new look is a bold departure from Kelly’s previous good girl image and is probably meant to be a declaration of her musical independence from that of Beyonce and Destiny’s Child. And though I like Kelly’s new look I cannot say the same for her new single.I finally heard it and I am just not moved.Nothing about the song seems to pop to me and judging from the lukewarm reception it is getting at r&b and pop radio, others may feel the same.I know we shouldn’t judge or compare the two but once Beyonce’s songs were leaked on the internet they were immediately picked up by radio stations even if the official impact date hadn’t arrive yet.

Well it appears after having the date of her album pushed back by over a year and a half, Columbia Records is finally making plans to release Kelly Rowland’s sophomore effort on June 26th.The album is tentatively title Miss Kelly and features collaborations with rappers Snoop Dogg and Eve . As you all know, Kelly’s first album was released in 2002 and only went gold.The album did however feature the hit single Dilemma with Nelly which garnered the two Grammy awards for Best Rap/Song Collaboration. Singer Janet Jackson has officially come on board to star in Tyler Perry’s next movie, “Why Did I Get Married”, based on the filmmaker’s stage play of the same name.Filming is scheduled to begin March 5th. in Vancouver and eventually move to Atlanta where Perry has set up his own studio.Sharon Leal, who co-starred in Dreamgirls and Jill Scott are also confirmed to be in the film. “Why Did I Get Married” revolves around a couple who go away with friends every winter to examine their marriages in a group setting.

CHILD FOR DESTINY’S STAR

Former Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland is two month’s pregnant with her first child. ((So far this is just a rumor))

Rowland, who was working on a solo record, will put her pop plans on hold until after the birth, according to British tabloid the Daily Mirror.

She says: “It’s kind of a bitter-sweet feeling because I was planning to release an album next year.”

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is pleased to announce that multi-platinum award-winning superstar, Ciara, will co-host the 19th Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards with ASCAP President and Chairman Marilyn Bergman. The invitation-only event, which honors the songwriters and publishers of the most performed ASCAP songs on the 2005 R&B, hip-hop and rap charts, is scheduled to take place on June 26, 2006 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

Ciara was recently honored with three awards at ASCAP’s Pop Music Awards, held May 22, 2006, for her chart topping singles “1, 2 Step,” “Goodies” and “Oh” from her multi-platinum selling debut album Goodies. After bursting onto the scene in 2004, the multi-talented star quickly rose to the top of the charts selling over three million albums, which produced three No 1 singles - “Goodies,” “1,2 Step and “Oh” - in addition to two No 1 collaborations - “Like You” w/ Bow Wow and “Lose Control” w/ Missy Elliott.

Beyonce was in Los Angeles over the weekend choosing the members of her all-female touring band as rumors of a possible split with boyfriend Jay-Z began surfacing on the Internet.

After simultaneous nationwide auditions were held in four different cities, Beyonce and her dad/manager Mathew Knowles made their final selections at Sony Studios Saturday. The pair helped to select the nine lucky women who will perform with the singer to promote the Sept. 5 release of her new album, “B-Day.”

“I wanted to get together a group of fierce, talented, hungry, beautiful women and form an all-girl band,” she told MTV after the band was picked. “I’m all about female empowerment. I’m all about pushing the envelope. I know it’s my responsibility to do something different. I said, ‘I want a band, I want something different.’ I had worldwide auditions; people flew in from Atlanta, Houston, Israel, all over the world.”
