Heineken’s Third Annual Red Star Soul Concert kicked off last night and featured performances from singers Ashanti and Goapele. The nine city tour, which was created to celebrate soul music and shine a spotlight on emerging artists, was attended on it’s opening night by Brown Sistas Meagan Good, Shante Broadus, Elise Neal, and many others.

Brown Sistas At Maxim’s Hot 100 Party


Brown Sistas Elise Neal, Amerie, Meagan Good, and Tichina Arnold, were all on hand last night to take in Maxim’s annual Hot 100 gala, which was held at the Paramount Studios is Los Angeles, California. Up top we have actress Elise Neal, who just turned 42, showing off her funky new haircut and looking fabulous in short laced negligee number.

A Raisin In The Sun West Coast Screening


“A Raisin In The Sun” is shaping up to be the must see televised event of the season.Airing directly after this year’s Academy Awards Ceremony, ARITS stars Sanaa Lathan, Sean Diddy Combs, Audra McDonald and Phylicia Rashad. The West Cost screening for the film took place last night at the Magic Johnson Theater in Los Angeles, CA and all the Brown Sistas, a few Brown Brothas too, came out to show their support.

Parties, Premieres & Such


Urban fashion icon, Mary J. Blige, was seen looking perfect from head to toe at the premiere of Queen Latifah’s new movie, Mad Money. At 37 years of age Mary can still clearly hang with the 20 year olds- but has no need to. As I told you before ladies, 40 or almost 40 just ain’t how many of you imagine it to be. Women like Mary are totally breaking the age barrier in music- proving you don’t have to be 20 and a dance diva in order to sell records.
