NICOLE BEHARIE - DANAI GURIRA - ALFRE WOODARD - LAVERNE COX COVER ESSENCE MAGAZINE

“Sleepy Hollow” actress Nicole Beharie has landed what will hopefully be the first of many covers for Essence magazine.

Though I had hoped Nicole would grace the cover alone, she has instead been featured alongside another worthy cover star: Danai Gurira of “The Walking Dead,” Alfre Woodard, who has been featured on a solo cover in the past, and surprisingly, LaVerne Cox of “Orange is the New Black.”

Kerry Washington Covers Essence

KERRY WASHINGTON COVERS ESSENCE MAGAZINE NOVEMBER 2013 (1)

With her hit show Scandal set to return to the airwaves tonight, what better time could there be for actress Kerry Washington to cover Essence magazine?

Kerry is gracing the November edition and looking super sultry in the process. I must give it to Miss Kerry, she really brought her a-game with this one.

Kerry’s cover was styled by June Ambrose, who decked her out in a gold Rafael Cennamo dress and if you look closely, you’ll see the gold-tipped nails to match.

Ambrose tweeted about the cover earlier today, saying she wanted to give Kerry a look she knew her famous character Olivia Pope would never go for.

The November issue is on newsstands now; don’t forget to pick up your copy.

Gabrielle and Dwyane Cover Essence

Along with covering the latest edition of WMB Magazine, actress Gabrielle Union will also be joining boyfriend Dwyane Wade on the cover of the February edition of Essence Magazine.

Gabrielle and Dwyane did some sexy posing for the inside photo shoot, which features the two canoodling in a poolside cabana.

According to the pair, they are in no rush to head down the aisle. “We’re not rushing it. Both of us have been married before, and we understand that if we choose to marry again, we want it to be right,” says the Miami Heat NBA star. “We both took failing at marriage hard. The next time it’s gotta be forever …”
