Fans of Ice Cube’s “Babrbershop” should be pleased to hear the franchise is being revived for its third iteration and will feature new cast members Common and Nicki Minaj.

The film’s director, Michael D. Lee (The Best Man, Roll Bounce), tweeted the news earlier this week, revealing the new faces, as well as returning favorites Cedric the Entertainer, Eve, and of course Ice Cube himself.

Newly married raptress Eve is returning to cable TV alongside singer Jill Scott and “Think Like a Man Too” actress Regina Hall.

The trio will star in the upcoming romantic comedy “With this Ring,” set to air on Lifetime later this fall.

The project will be directed by Nzingha Stewart (she wrote it as well), who brings along actress Gabrielle Union and Tracey Edmonds as executive producers.

Rapper Eve married her longtime boyfriend, Gumball 3000 founder Maximillion Cooper, over the weekend in a private ceremony held in Ibiza.

The 35-year old former ‘Pitbull in a Skirt’ exchanged vows in front of about 100 guests during a beachside sunset ceremony, that included Cooper’s two young children from a previous marriage, who acted as flower girl and ring bearer.

Eve Returning to the Small Screen

EVE DEVELOPING INTERRACIAL COMEDY FOR ABC

Eve is returning to network TV.

According to published reports, the 35-year old former “Pitbull in a Skirt,” has pitched a semi-autobiographical comedy to ABC, which is presently in development and set to make its mid-season debut in January 2015.

Eve will star in the project, which is said to focus on interracial relationships. Eve recently became engaged to British millionaire Maximillion Cooper and has spoken extensively about their relationship and her experiences getting to know his children from a previous marriage.

Eve has dabbled in acting quite a bit since she first hit the scene over a decade ago. She had her own self-titled comedy on UPN which ran for three seasons. She has appeared in the big screen comedies “Barbershop” 1 and 2, as well as “The Cookout” and “The Woodsman with Kevin Bacon. As for the small screen, Eve recently made appearances in “Single Ladies” and the hit FOX comedy “Glee.”

Eve & Keke Palmer to Join Forces

EVE AND KEKE PALMER TO STAR IN ANIMAL PRODUCED BY DREW BARRYMORE

Actress Keke Palmer and rapper Eve are set to appear in the upcoming Drew Barrymore produced horror flick “Animal.”

According to published reports, “Animal” will be your standard teenage horror movie, following a group of friends stranded in a desolate place and hunted by a mysterious and deadly force.

The indie flick is set to start shooting this fall and is expected to be released some time next year. Other cast announcements include Elizabeth Gillies (Victorious), Joey Lauren Adams (United States of Tara) and Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break).

Eve Returning to Television

Raptress Eve is heading back to television for a guest starring role on the NBC comedy “Whitney.”

According to Tracy St. Pierre, senior director of entertainment and publicity for NBC, Eve’s character will play a pivotal role in helping the show’s lead actress/comedienne, Whitney Cummings, come to a realization about her boyfriend, played by actor Chris D’Elia.

Eve’s episode is slated to air sometime in late March and according to St. Pierre, could possibly turn in a recurring role for the 33-year old Grammy winning artist.

Since her own show “Eve,” was cancelled back in 2006, the “Tambourine” singer has made guest appearances on quite a few television showS, including “Numb3rs,” “Glee,” “Double Exposure” and “Single Ladies.”
