I usually do my weekly picture roundup posts on Fridays but have decided to do it today instead because I have so many images saved up that I need to get off my computer.It has been an excellent week in Hollywood as sistas have been out and about at some very exclusive events.Starting things off we have Essence Atkins, Gabrielle Union and Sanaa Lathan who were all invited to the grand opening of Yacht Haven in the Virgin Islands.

There was something for everyone when fashion and music’s elite converged at the 3rd. annual BET “Rip the Runway” show. Performances by some of the music industry’s best and brightest stars provided the perfect backdrop as some of the hottest models strutted down the runway in this year’s fiercest fashions.The show was hosted by Ciara and Chris Brown and is scheduled to air on March 14th.Random pics are posted below and more can be found in our gallery on BrownSista.net

Though not a fashionista myself I recognize that many of the sistas who visit this site are and thus this post is for all of you.I happened to have quite a few pics from fashion week and decided to share those I had from the Baby Phat show.I’ve never been a fan of Baby Phat but amazingly enough I actually like the collection that Kimora and company have put together- lemme know what you guys think.

US Weekly is reporting that beautiful Sports Illustrated model Selita Ebanks married actor/comedian Nick Cannon in Las Vegas last weekend.The happy couple have known each other almost a full three months and decided to tie the knot on a whim while enjoying the NBA Allstar festivities which also took place in Vegas.You can see pics of the two together below as they appeared athe GM Ten Fashion Show and head on over to the US Weekly website to read the entire story for yourselves.

But to many fashionistas, the car you drive has become as important a fashion statement as your handbag or the shoes on your feet.This is the case for most celebs and they took to the runway last night to help showcase the latest line of luxury cars from GM.The first celebrity to take to the catwalk was Mary J. Gabrielle Union and Essence Atkins Join Celebrity Line Up
for NABB�s Miami International Bikefest

Actresses Gabrielle Union (Bad Boys 2) and Essence Atkins (Half and Half) will join the all-star celebrity line up for the NABB�s Miami International Bikefest 2006 to be held Labor Day weekend in Miami, Florida.

Presented by the National Association of Black Bikers (NABB), the Miami International Bikefest will be hosted by BET and radio personality Big Tigger and will bring together Hollywood celebrities, entertainers and athletes for the �must-attend� charity event August 31 � September 3, 2006 in Miami.

Former Destiny’s Childsinger LaTavia Roberson has enjoyed her time away from the limelight. Back in 2000, during the midst of a whirlwind promotional tour for their sophomore album ‘The Writing’s on the Wall,’ Roberson and LeToya Luckett attempted to sever their management agreement with Mathew Knowles. They claimed Beyonce’s father favored his daughter and that he was keeping too much of the group’s profits.

Roberson and Luckett were then ousted from the group, replaced in their “Say My Name” music video with Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin who lip-synched to their background vocals. The two founding members then sued father and daughter Knowles, as well as group member Kelly Rowland. Both parties slung dirt during a back-and-forth media blitz, but the lawsuits ended up being settled out of court and Roberson and Luckett were said to have made a pretty penny. A non-disclosure agreement prohibits them from discussing the settlement.

Despite claims from Rowland and Knowles that Roberson and Luckett couldn’t sing, the two formed a new group called Anjel-right around the same time that Destiny’s Child kicked Franklin out of the group and became a tri0. Signed to a production deal with Jagged Edge, the group’s failure to launch caused them to disband. Luckett embarked on a solo music career and Roberson decided to retreat and do some soul searching.
