More Janet Goodies From Prestige Magazine

More photos from Janet Jackson’s shoot with Prestige Magazine have found their way to the internet, and like the others that came before, Janet sports a short bob and a very dark, almost gothic look. I like the look but am hoping for a more cheerier vibe when the official album promo shots are revealed.

First Look: Janet Jackson’s Feedback Video

janet.jpg Singer Janet Jackson reportedly taped the video to her first single, Feedback, a few weeks ago and the dance diva gave Extra TV a behind the scenes look at the new project. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much to look at. No video footage was actually shown but a glimpse at the costume Janet wears as well as the concept were revealed. Janet is shown wearing a black costume reminiscent of the one she wore in Busta Rhymes’ “What’s It Gonna Be” video. Janet will apparently be ruling over her own little world in the video and her choreographer, Gil Duldulao has even created a dance called “The Feedback”.

New Janet Jackson Photo Shoot & Interview

Janet Jackson Covers Prestige Magazine I predict 2008 will the year of the 80’s Diva, starting off with my favorite Diva of them all, Miss Janet Jackson. The planets are aligned and I feel magic in the air. I had hoped new Janet info would drop on January 1st. because I wanted to make my first article of 2008 about Janet. Rumor had it Janet’s new video would debut on BET on the 1st, but even more news has been revealed before that, so hopefully I will not only open 2008 with Janet, but close out 2007 with the sista as well. Blatin1814 was kind enough to send me a new interview and fabulous photo shoot Janet did for a Hong Kong magazine called Prestige. The interview is typical of all Janet’s interviews- so we don’t learn anything new. That leaves us to talk about the part I love talking about the most- the new pics. Now you guys know I love a good photo shoot and Mark Liddell, who photographed Janet exclusively for Prestige, did not disappoint.

Keyshia Tells It Like It Is

Keyshia Cole Keyshia Cole is a woman of few words… but she lays it all out on the line on her reality series ‘The Way It Is,’ which premiered on BET July 12.

The six-part series chronicles the turbulent upbringing and promising career of one of today’s most promising R&B acts. Starting in her hometown of East Oakland, California, viewers discover how the hip-hop soul singer escaped the pressures of the inner city, and later returned to sell out venues and headline her own cross-country tour.

“I don’t know what they are going to get out of it,” Cole, 24, told Black Voices about the viewing audience. “I don’t know. They are going to get whatever they get. I can’t tell you. I think it’s a nice show, I do.”

On the James Dubose-helmed series, the platinum-selling artist, who topped the R&B charts with a trio of hit songs over the past year (including the Gregory Curtis-produced ballad ‘Love’), discusses her mother’s battles with drug addiction, her sister’s life as a prostitute, and her childhood spent in and out of foster care.
