Gabrielle Union Goes Mobile as Host of the Covet Fashion App
Mobile styling app Covet Fashion has found their latest host in Being Mary Jane actress Gabrielle Union. For the next thirty days Gabrielle will act as the app’s featured star, and as such, users will have access to Gabrielle’s personal fashions and beauty tips, as well as an insider view into the actress’ day-to-day activities.
Actress Gabrielle Union has a lot to smile about these days. The 43-year old Being Mary Jane star has just had her show renewed by BET for a fourth season. Gabrielle and BET programming director Stephen Hill announced the news early this afternoon at the network’s 2016 Winter TCA Tour.
The show’s renewal was actually up in the air after creator and showrunner Mara Brock Akil abruptly left at the end of season three to join Warner Brothers Televison.
The highly anticipated third season of Being Mary Jane kicks off tonight on BET.
The show will immediately pick up where we left off in the season two finale, with Mary Jane having been in a serious car accident.
Friends and family will rally around her bedside, and with emotions running high, all sorts of secrets start to be revealed.
Actress Gabrielle Union is ready to spread her wings and has signed on to star in and executive produce the seasonal flick A Meyers Christmas. The upcoming Universal production will center on a divided family brought together over the Christmas holiday by the passing of their matriarch.
Baggage Claim writer-director David E. Talbert will helm the production, while Will Packer and Gabrielle handle things on the distribution end. Gabby and Will previously worked together on the Lifetime flick With this Ring, which starred Jill Scott, Eve and Regina Hall.

BET has just unveiled their first official Being Mary Jane season 3 trailer. With the show less than a month away, fans are being gifted with an early look at what they can expect when heroine Mary Jane Paul returns to tackle another season of love, loss and betrayal.
As previously reported, singer Jill Scott and actress Loretta Devine will be joining the cast in recurring roles. Devine plays a bookstore owner, while Scott will play the mother of Raven Goodwin’s character Niecy.
Just days after announcing the addition of two new cast members, BET has unveiled the first promo trailer for the upcoming third season of their hit drama Being Mary Jane.
Next season will involve a lot of changes for our heroine, who finds herself battling interlopers in both her personal and professional life.
After her accident in the season two finale, Mary Jane is out on sick leave and is forced to stand by and watch as her younger replacement does her job a little too well.
Gabrielle Union Books Another Gig
A TV movie based on the 1994 animated film The Lion King is in the works, and Being Mary Jane actress Gabrielle Union will reportedly be voicing the character of Nala.
The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar will also see the return of James Earl Jones and the addition of Rob Lowe who will be voicing the character of Simba.
In addition to her voice-over duties, Gabrielle is also in the midst of shooting Sleepless Night with Jamie Foxx. Her 2016 film The Birth of a Nation is also in pre-production, and her BET drama Being Mary Jane is set to start shooting again in October.
Candids: Gabrielle Union Hits the Streets of New York
Being Mary Jane actress Gabrielle Union was spotted on the streets of New York City today, reportedly leaving a meeting at her publicist’s office in the meatpacking district.
Gabrielle has a lot to promote in the upcoming months. Not only has her BET series been picked up for another year, she has also landed three new movie roles: The Birth of a Nation, Keanu and Sleepless Nights which reunites her with her Breakin’ All the Rules co-star Jamie Foxx.
Being Mary Jane actress Gabrielle Union is set to star in two film releases in 2016: Sleepless Night with Jamie Foxx and Keanu, which stars comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele.
Sleepless Night is a remake of the French film Nuit Blanche and tells the story of a corrupt cop who must retrieve a bag of drugs in order to rescue his son whose been taken by a murderous drug lord. Gabrielle will play Foxx’s ex-wife. This will be the second time the pair have teamed up on the big screen. They first appeared together in the Sony Pictures 2004 romantic comedy Breakin’ all the Rules.
