I love Vivica Fox and have been a fan of hers for many years now.I thought she was a beautiful Brown Sista when I first saw her in an episode of The Fresh Prince, and thought she was even more beautiful when I saw her in Independence Day and Set It Off.Though still a fan, I am saddened that Vivica hated what she saw in the mirror so much, that she went out and had plastic surgery that in my opinion has left her disfigured.Below is an interview she did with BET.com, in which she touches on the issue and what she thinks of the public’s response to her going under the knife.
Vivica A. Fox: You Can Hate Me Now
What you think about Vivica is none of her business. If you’re going to hate, hate on her career longevity in Hollywood, where’s she’s arguably one of the hardest working women in show business.
Vivica A. Fox has spent much of the last two decades building a multi-media Hollywood career. Her Internet Music Database page lists more than 60 film and television credits – and that’s just as an actress. Fox, 42, recently added producer to her resume.
She produced and starred in the now defunct Lifetime show “Missing” and several other movies, including “The Salon,” which comes out this fall. Her straight-to-DVD release “The Hard Corps,” co-starring action hero Jean-Claude Van Damme is out now, and she remains the radio voice of Cadillac. (A gig with the nice fringe benefit of a free Escalade.)

Everyone wants hair that looks as good as a celebrity’s. So we went to Pantene celebrity stylist Chuck Amos, whose clients have included Mya, Brandy and Vanessa Williams , and we talked to Bridget Hill, a Peter Coppola colorist recently named by Allure magazine as one of New York’s best, to dish about what styles the hottest stars are rockin’ and how you can get them. What’s Hot Now?
Big Hair
“Hair is hot right now,” says Amos. “And lots of it!” Amos suggests wearing hair big this season. Take notes from Beyoncé, who is doing things big these days - especially with her hair. From award show appearances to her sexy “Deja Vu” video, the Grammy Award-nominated songstress is donning big, wavy, beautiful curls. To create the look, try pumping up your hair (or extensions) with large hot rollers or a large barrel curling iron just before you wash your hair. “Dirty” hair is your best friend when going for the wild look, experts say. After curling hair, flip your head upside down and scrunch the roots of your hair with a dab of volumizing gel. Then apply a small amount of pomade to your ends so your hair won’t look dull or dry. Spritz with a small amount of holding spray and then go rock the party. Oh, but be sure to wash everything out the following morning or you’ll have a matted mess to deal with.

“I got a mean idea, so look for it,” JD says about planned duet on Jackson’s 20 Years Old.

In April, Carey hinted that she was very open to the collaboration (see “Mariah Down To Work With Janet; Eve’s Loss Is Busta’s Gain”). “He never talked to me about that, but if Jermaine has a concept, we should go and write something,” she told MTV Radio. “I love Janet. I’ve been a big fan of Janet since ‘Con-tro-ol!’ ”

MediaTakeOut.com has learned that actress Jill Marie Jones, who plays Toni on the hit show Girlfriends, has decided to leave the show. And it appears that her co-stars may have pushed her into leaving.
Earlier this year, the cast was reportedly told that show’s budget needed to be cut in order for it to be picked up by the newly formed CW Network. Outraged by the prospect of salary cuts, the four actresses, Tracee Ellis Ross (Joan), Golden Brooks (Maya), Persia White (Lynn) and Jill Marie Jones all agreed to work together and negotiate their contracts as a group.

Best-selling novelist Terri McMillan shares her emotionally-charged testimony on the controversial BET News documentary, ‘The Down Low Exposed,’ premiering March 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. “I think that what [BET is] doing should be applauded because I think more than anything there are women out there that are victims,” the author of ‘Waiting to Exhale’ said during the one-hour news special — a probing look into the world of men with wives or girlfriends who also secretly engage in sex with other men. “I think we need to hold men accountable for their actions,” McMillan added, in what she said is her final public interview on the subject. Last year, her marriage to Jonathan Plummer publicly unraveled with a nasty divorce as a result of his admission to a secret gay life. “I think that he should be charged with attempted murder for risking my life without my knowledge or consent,” the chick-lit diva said in the documentary.
Helmed by Park Hill Entertainment President Shirley Neal, ‘Exposed’ examines this divisive subject from a variety of angles including prison sex and its impact on the spread of HIV/AIDS; the Black church; the impact of HIV and AIDS on women infected by men who hid their homosexuality; and the crucial importance of being tested for the disease. Music videos and hip-hop music runs throughout the news special, which features many unidentified men — and some groundbreaking undercover footage. “The ‘Down Low’ is one of those subjects that fascinate people. With this special, we want to hear every point of view — men who lead double-lives, their lovers, women who have been involved with them, church people, ex-cons, AIDS activists and regular folks on the street,” said BET President of Entertainment Reginald Hudlin.
