Shoe of the Moment: Christian Louboutin Lace-Up Ankle Boots

Though I am generally not a fan of pointy toed shoes, I must say I really do love Christian Louboutin’s Mado Leather Lace-Up Ankle Boots ($1,595).

I first spotted them on Toni Braxton, who paired them with a chocolate leather sheath while attending the Walk of Fame Ceremony for producer Babyface.

The following day Ciara was seen pairing them with an Lucky Rose Sweater Dress while dining out with new friend Lily Collins.

Both women wear them well, but I admit to being a bit more partial to Toni’s look. Try as I might, I couldn’t find out who made her dress, but she is looking all kinds of fabulous in it.

Nude Heels for Dark Skin Tones

If you are a Brown Sista who has ever shopped for nude heels, then you know what a truly difficult task that can be.

Shoe designer Christian Louboutin has acknowledged the problem as well and come up with a solution: a capsule collection he calls The Shades.

Starting this fall, five classic Louboutin styles will be re-imagined in shades ranging from fair bisk to a chestnut brown.

According to Louboutin, the new shades aim to “closely match the actual color of the customer’s skin tone” and in doing so will “stretch the silhouette and give the appearance of longer legs.”

And just in case you are confused about which color is right for you, Louboutin has created an app for that.

Just snap a pic of your leg and the app will match your skin tone to the right Louboutin shade.

Neat, huh?

Rihanna Poses for Glamour Magazine

Rihanna’s new short curly do will reportedly have an official unveiling on an upcoming cover of Glamour magazine. The images below were posted via Instagram and show the singer accompanied by longtime collaborator Mel Ottenberg. Mel has been the central creative force behind many of RiRi’s most controversial looks, including her most recent “Pussy” campaign.

Rihanna is often criticized for her music, her image… and especially her morals. But one thing about the pop diva that is never up for debate… is that she can take a picture. Leave it to RiRi to take that grandma hairdo we saw a few days ago and turn it into something fabulous.

Love her or hate her, she is a fabulous chick.

I look forward to this photo shoot.

Keyshia Cole Readies Shoe Collection

With her first shoe collection set to be unveiled in September, singer Keyshia Cole is providing fans with a more in-depth look at what they can expect from her exclusive designs. As previously reported, Keyhia announced a joint venture between herself and shoe designer Steve Madden last year. According to Keyshia, she designed each shoe herself and plans to price them affordably. Expect to start seeing advertisements for the collection in magazines soon. In the meantime, check out behind-the-scenes images from the photo shoot below.
