Jada Pinkett-Smith is Not a Fan of ‘All Eyez on Me’ Film
Actress Jada Pinkett-Smith is not a fan of the new Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez on Me. The 45-year old Girls Trip star took to Twitter earlier this morning to lament the portrayal of her relationship with the late rap icon, calling the “re-imagining” of their relationship on screen “offensive” and “deeply hurtful.”
The Smiths (Jada & Will ) and the Carters ( Beyonce & Jay-Z ) were spotted hanging out together last night at the post-theater reception for FELA, a play the couples have both attached their names to and helped finance. The play was recently nominated for two Tony Awards and centers around the life of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, a Nigerian Afrobeat music legend who passed away in 1997.
“Hawthorne” actress Jada Pinkett Smith is flaunting her fabulous figure on the August cover of Shape Magazine. The 37 year old actress sat down for an interview with the mag and shared her secrets to having a successful marriage, family and career.
Check out a few highlights below:
On keeping her kids (stepson Trey, 16, son Jaden, 11, and daughter Willow, 8) fit: “Sitting at home on a Saturday or Sunday was never an option,” says Jada of her own childhood. “[The kids] love to go to the gym with Will and me, but surfing and snowboarding is what we do together as a family for fun.”
On managing career and kids: “I won’t lie to you. I have a lot of help. It takes a village to run my life successfully!”
On how she and Will complement one another: “Will and I are yin and yang. He’s all sky, vast and bright and soaring, and I’m all earth. I’m here to ground him, and he’s here to help me fly.”
On how they keep their marriage strong: “Last week we were stressed out, so I packed a picnic and took Will to a place we hiked to on one of our first dates. We sat and reminisced on that time in our life. Then we went home and made love. Thank God Will has simple tastes. Even the littlest thing for him is like, ‘Wow!'”
On not being queen of the kitchen: “I can’t cook! It’s genetic. My grandmother can’t cook, my mother can’t cook. I was raised to believe you eat because your body needs fuel for energy, so I eat superfoods.” Though she does like to bake, she adds she doesn’t do it often. “[Will] has a horrific sweet tooth. If there’s cake in front of him, he’ll eat the whole thing!”
One of the best things about fashion is its ability to cater to different types of people, especially when it comes to shapes and sizes. Here are a few body-flattering swimsuit styles, tips, and tricks for every shape…
For small chested girls like Cassie, a ruffled string bikini will flaunt what you’ve got, and fake what you don’t!
The best suits for curvier women like songstress Jordin Sparks would be solid colored one-piece bathing suits with a plunging neckline, as they help to keep the attention on your upper half. Tankini styles help to conceal your midriff, and the added ruching sides camouflage a round tummy. Boy shorts are also great for those who want some added coverage around their bottoms.
The June edition of Ebony Magazine will feature Jada Pinkett Smith on the cover. Jada is presently out doing promo for her new TNT medical drama “Hawthorne”, which debuts on June 16th at 9pm. In an exclusive Ebony magazine cover story, the talented actress, producer and rocker was surprisingly forthcoming about her marriage to Will, her views on the Church of Scientology and even the Internet rumors. “You want people to talk about you, because once they stop talking about you that’s when you’re really in trouble!” She continues, “I’m happy to have people talk about all the craziness they want to talk about, whether it’s things like every year we’re getting divorced or we’re an open family or Will’s gay, or I’m gay.”
