Miss Janet Keeps it Grown & Sexy in Just Released No Sleeep Video
It’s finally here everybody- the video to Janet Jackson‘s new single No Sleeep featuring J Cole and directed by Dave Meyers.
The visually stunning clip feels like That’s the Way Love Goes redux and appears in some places to actually harken back to the song’s visual, as well as that of I Get So Lonely.
No Sleeep Video Coming Soon, Will Feature J Cole
Singer Janet Jackson and director Dave Meyers have teamed up again, this time to shoot the video for Janet’s new single No Sleeep.
Dave posted a photo to his Facebook page featuring himself and the icon, with the caption “Been up all night with @JanetJackson… the sun is up. Time for the #UnbreakableWorldTour.”
Janet and Dave previously worked together during the singer’s All for You era, where he helmed videos for the album’s title track and I Want You.
Go Behind the Scenes with Janet Jackson in Lyrics Video for “No Sleeep”
Singer Janet Jackson has unveiled the lyrics video for her new single No Sleeep. The three-and-a-half minute clip takes fans behind the scenes of the recording session for the song, which Janet co-wrote and produced with longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
Like most celebs, singer Janet Jackson is looking to branch out and expand her empire. And while in this day and age for the average celebrity that would mean a clothing line- Miss Jackson, however, is no average celebrity, and thus has chosen to do things a bit differently.
Per NPR, Janet is getting into the diamonds business. That stunning yellow heart shaped necklace she wore at the BET Awards is reportedly a part of her new Janet Jackson Unbreakable Diamonds Collection, and will retail for the low-low price of only two millions dollars. The ring Janet wore however will be a bit more economical, costing a mere five-hundred thousand dollars.
Janet Jackson is an icon. How do we know? Because the singer has received recognition from no less than five sources bestowing the honor on her in the course of her near forty year career.
BET adds their name to the list for the second time, honoring Janet at last night’s show with their inaugural Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award, which you know they totally made up at the last minute to get the singer to make an appearance.
Corny ass name aside, half the people sitting in that audience wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t for the smooth pathway Janet, and her brother Michael, paved for them. Because of that, no one is more deserving of yet another Icon award, than Miss Jackson herself.
There is a God and he has blessed us today with new music from singer Janet Jackson.
As promised, Janet delivered her new single No Sleeep bright and early this morning via her official website janetjackson.com.
I’ve listened to song a thousand times so far and it gets better with each play. Janet eschewed running after the “in” sound and the “in” producers, and instead returned to her musical roots, teaming up with longtime producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and it was the best decision she ever made. No Sleeep is everything it should be: a timeless classic that fans will surely love, and do based on my perusal of the internet.
Singer Janet Jackson thanked longtime fans and supporters earlier this week by releasing a forty-three second snippet from a new single, which she described via Twitter as a thank you to fans.
Janet announced her return to the music scene last month, and on Monday unveiled the first thirty-six dates of her upcoming Unbreakable tour, which kicks off in Vancouver, British Columbia on August 31.
Janet has been tagging all her recent tweets with the hashtag #ConversationsInACafe, leading to speculation that it may be the name of her upcoming eleventh solo album, her first since 2008’s gold certified Discipline.
It’s happening, Janet fans. It’s really, really happening this time.
Janet Jackson is back with a new single titled No Sleeep (yes, that extra ‘e’ is on purpose) and a just announced world tour that kicks off in Vancouver on August 31st.

We’ve got more Janet Jackson news for you guys. According to Billboard, Janet’s new single will hit the airwaves sometime within the next 30 days. We don’t know anything about the single.
